Eds, surely the rumours about mbappe have to be nonsense, not just for Liverpool's sake but 100m + for a player who's had one season considering you have the likes of lacazette and aubameyang available for 50-60.

I think it has been made clear over and over again that Mbappe to Liverpool will not happen. Arsenal in talks with Lacazette. Aubameyang has his eyes set on Madrid and a massive pay day.

Rule out all three players.

Mbappe is very young and very, very special. All eyes were on him during the champions league and he was excellent, did not crack under pressure. You pay 100 mill for him now, and he improves?, in 2 years time he will be worth double! I do not see that being the case for lacazette and auba. So business wise, it does make sense.

If Aubameyang has his heart set on Madrid it doesn't mean he will end up there, they've got to want him too. I had my heart set on playing for Liverpool when I was younger. still do at 32 but doesn't mean Liverpool want me. Not saying we will get him just that he's not guaranteed to end up at Madrid.

Have you seen Mbappe? Watch him again, not just YouTube highlights but repeats of games. Watch again and remind yourself he is 18. He tore up the biggest club competition he doesn't just score he is amazing with the ball at his feet.
£100m is ridiculous but it's the way things are going. Pogba is not a game changer like a striker can be but he was £90m. Defenders are now going arbitration £50-£70m if Walker and Saints get VVD sale. £100m is going to happen.
You cannot predict the future of course but if you could sign Ronaldinho, Ronaldo or Messi today at 18 for £100m you would. Mbappe could easily become as important as they were/ are.
