I don't disagree xpertoyin. Klopps style of play isn't conducive to a "traditional" striker. And by that I mean on that is more of a poacher/ positionally aware/ fast but lacking stamina and tackling. He prefers the hard working high pressing and ability to pick a pass forward/ attacking mid style and would rather have 6-8 players scoring 10+ goals rather than one to two players that will score 20-30 goals. In theory it should be more difficult to defend with multiple outlets, but sometimes you need that strikers instinct to be in the right place at the right time. I'm sure he would be tickled to have a player scoring 20-30 goals but it isn't a necessity. And the fact lewandowski did/ does is just a testament (in my opinion) to how good and hard working he is. A player like firminio/ Suarez/ Sanchez will always thrive under klopp while players like ibrahimavic/ dzeko/ van piersie would struggle. I'm just hoping Sturridge can get fit/ adapt enough to be a 20-30 goal/ season striker again!

I really don't think that is true, especially whrn you think about Lewa and klopps time together. And for me it is a bonus having multiple players chip in but greater to have genuime goal scorer in the team pumping away goals as well.

when lewa joined dortmund klopp changed his position to one he had never played and didn't like. he said he learned more in that year than ever and when played in his normal position the next year made him by far a better player.

The unnecessary argument for the arrival of a natural goalscorer, is nothing but a false argument fueled by some fantasy that we need one, which is not backed up by any metric in reality. Since JK arrived at LFC, LFC is top 3 in goals scored, chances created and shots on target in the PL, all accomplished without a so called "natural goalscorer" so why again, do we need to go splurge money on one (who will not come cheap by the way) when we have other pressing issues elsewhere within the team to address? We scored 76 goals last season (4th best in the PL) and was the best attack in the PL for most of the season, all without a true goalscorer. please, let us end this argument for good. We domn't need a natural goalscorer in this team but need to improve Firmino's output in front of goal as h can definitely do more there and the addition of Salah will only add to our goals output. We need a true LB and add better depth to the squad.

We scored the 4th most goals and finished 4th, that's why we need to improve on goals scored, si we can finish above 4th!

{Ed001's Note - the defence was only 5th best, plus we only scored 8 less than the top scorers while conceding 16 more than the best defence. There is a lot more improvement to be made by improving the defence than attack. Liverpool always won the league through its defence.}
