Hi Eds

With all the left backs we have been linked with which their is a lot have ye any idea which 1 is our number 1 target? I know ed001 you say Klopp has the klopps for Robertson so would I be right in saying that it is him or someone else such as Mendy or Tierney or is their others I have left out?

{Ed001's Note - I never said that about Robertson, I said he is a possibility. Mendy was first choice, Tierney is not looking for a move so is almost certainly out. We have looked at a few, including Ghoulam. Mendy is the one we would prefer.}

Functional and competent would do for me at left back. Signing the flavour of the month might not work. A left footed Steve Finnan if there is such thing?

When was last time we had a quality left back? Riise had a hell of a shot and our best we have had lately but even he was a bit suspect defensively.
Right back, in premier league era, Rob Jones, Babble, Finnan all quality, so I'm not sure why it should be that LB is such a problem position for us for so long.

Is there still any chance of Mendy or have we backed off (if we ever were in for him) Ed001? I think you mentioned it was more likely he'd end up at City.
