I agree that a player like aubameyang would improve teams, but with the way we play I think we would become predictable. The issue we had last season was the ability to break down teams who sat deep, I don't think adding someone who's main asset is the ability to use their pace in behind is the answer. Firmino's ability to drop deep and link play with our two flying wingers (salah/ mane) will make us an absolute nightmare for defences next season, all being supplied by the little magician. The money it would cost for the likes of aubameyang.

Aubameyang or someone like is exactly what we needed against them teams.

We passed the ball around in front of the opposition defence without trying to get in behind, we made it too easy for them.

A bit of a belated reply I know but have only just started posting. What you have said is completely contradicted, how would you expect us to run in behind if a team are sitting deep? Aubameyang is most effective on the break, if you're playing the likes of west brom they are organised enough to leave no space in behind and our possession will be in front of them. We now have pace on both flanks but with firmino and coutinho to link up play, teams won't be able to sit as deep. We are different animal now and a lot less predictable add an overlapping left back and !
