Morning all

People are still hoping we sign VVD but with us saying we have ended interest, the club would look really stupid imo if we were to try and return for him.

Also the Aubameyang rumours are all fabrication. We have Sturridge Origi Ings Firmino Solanke and we only play one Striker, with no signs any of these will leave. Klopp has said he would not try to sign BVB players also his salary/ fee would be out of reach.

Both players not happening, let's not pretend they are.

Sturridge is injury prone, Origi is not good enough, who knows if Ings will come back the same player, definitely not next season and Solanke is not ready and untried in the Prem. A place has to be found for Firmino but he is not a 20 goal a season man.

We NEED a striker, as we will play a lot more games next season. In Champions League we will need a quality striker who can come off the bench.

It will be criminal if we don't address this issue yet again.

FIrmino will not score more than 15 a season. He is not a natural striker nor he possess one. I don't know what will happen to him if we buy a world class striker.
But that's the rule of the forest.

Kilometer - whether any of what you say about those strikers is true, regaendless, it is nonsensical to stockpile players in a position to cover for every hypothetical permutation.

OP, are you stating an OPINION that these rumours are fabrication, or have you got information that proves this as FACT?

Anyone can profess an opinion, and often do, but if someone as insider info then that's different!

Faithinworks, what I have said is true, as most people on here will agree.

We would not be stockpiling strikers because Sturridge is the only one at the level to win us a major trophy. So anyone who thinks he will play 38 league games plus Champion League games is living on Fantasy Island.

Why does Firmino need to score 20+ goals playing as a central striker? As long as the team scores enough goals we will be fine. I personally think we have a much better chance of doing so if Firmino plays as our central striker.
