Just a quick question Eds.

I know the VVD deal is 99.99% over at best but I was just wondering has there ever been anything like this in the past we're a deal has been resurrected. For example if nobody comes in for a player and the player pushes for a move from the club. We've seen it before when a player has dug there heels in and there value has fallen especially if the player refuses to play or is dropped etc. Also did we have a good relationship with Southampton before this deal, they must be getting fed up of us coming in for there players.

{Ed002's Note - Clubs have completed deals for players they have tapped up in order to have the club drop a complaint. In other cases players have ended up in the football wilderness after tapping up - a young French left back was promised a move by the then manager of a German side who also promised they could prey together each day. After no move happened and the illegal approach was found out the club released him and he ended up in the Russian second division. Virgil van Dijk is now in a very difficult situation himself because of what Liverpool and Klopp have done. But as we know, Liverpool to no care one iota about the damage they do to players.}

It all sounds like an absolute mine field. It's a disgrace what we've done. I may be living in dream land but I hope in some way the deal could be resurrected and if so I'd like the club to make some sort of goodwill gesture to repair relations between the clubs. We don't want another Fulham situation. Plus I think we need to do something to start repairing our reputation, but for the life of me I don't know we're we'd start.
