Cannot believe the negativity on here.

We finished fourth this season with a fairly young squad and missing key players for big chunks of the season. If we sign Salah, a LB and some decent cover for players then I can see Klopp pushing us on further next year. The worst thing would be for 4 or 5 signings to come in who don't gel and ruin the team ethic. Look at Chelsea this year, they didn't change personnel massively but walked the title. It is about the right players in the right system, not having 3 or 4 superstars.

It almost seems that people are going to write us off if we sign Robertson at left back. Personally I think he's fairly decent and are we forgetting that we have Milner who can cover if he needs time to settle in. The fact we aren't signing a 16 year old who sparkled in the Championship does not automatically mean we are missing out on the next Delle Alli.

Also, Salah is a quality player and will provide options providing he has matured and settles. A forward line of Firmino, Sturridge, Mane, Salah, Solanke and Origi provides plenty of options.

Midfield we have a multitude of options and I suspect we will add an extra face.
Our defence, whilst having a tendency to switch off, aren't as bad as people say and performed well in big games. I would be overjoyed with van Dijk but don't think he's essential. Some cover at CB may be needed as Lucas will not be around and Matip/ Lovren are prone to niggles.

Yes, FSG tactics may be annoying but very few clubs get their initial targets. I will take a Klopp team that has had 2-3 years together over a rip up and start again policy any day of the week.

Face it, Robertson is not good enough! Just accept facts and we won't have to sign tons of crap!

{Ed025's Note - now lets see...should i go with shilsha or klopp on this one?, its a tough call i know but im going for klopp.. :)

We scraped fourth after a series of poor performances against the smaller teams. We won nothing. That's reality.
We struggled without Henderson and we need a top class midfielder regardless. Wijnaldim nor can are of that calibre. Keita would be a significant improvement.
Salah is a good player. Good buy especially if we have injuries. Brandt was ideal but these things happen.

Robertson might just be a great lad but he's a poor player. I'm not being politically correct because klopp rates him and others are now not available. He's simply not good enough

Ox if he comes will be another bad buy. He truly is the one that bewilders me. I see no place for him in the squad never mind first team which I'm sure he'll want assurances of. He's nowhere near good enough to play central midfield either which he wants.

We messed about with mendy who would have been a great buy. Van dijk is a great centre back. He's another one we're messing about with.

Let's improve the first team not add to the squad.

Klopp has signed some utter dross in hos life as well not just sucsess stories plus you are a blue, your dream is for us to lose our best players and sign crap to replace them. We also have a transfer comitee so not only Klopp decides on everything. I bet you had a party when we sold Suarez, and then you had twice a big of a party when we replaced him with Balotelli and Lambertinho ;) But in all seriousness, you wouldn't want Robertson for Everton would you Pal?

{Ed025's Note - if the manager wanted him then i would trust his judgement shilsha, i dont get any joy from seeing liverpool fail, although i must admit i did have a smile when michael thomas scored for arsenal and the gerrard slip, but not out of nastiness just rivalry.. :)

Well said Big Al, although in my opinion Salah is a better player than Saido Mane. People are making fun of the italian league although its by far one of the hardest leagues to score in due to how tactically disiplened italian teams are (unless the games are fixed that is, lol )
Simple example remember Mido? another Egyptian he was great for his 1st and a half seasons for Spurs before the guy just couldn't bring himself to stop eating, point is, Mido didn't score 1 goal for Roma in like 20-25 matches, check it out for yourself. Italian league is rough.

sorry, Mido didn't score 1 single goal og have a single assist in 12 apperances not 20.

Great point shiisha. Who could argue with that insight. Fellow Egyptian couldn't stop eating and wasn't so great after a season. Therefore all Egyptian footballers are the same!

Seriously?

Its Shiisha ed025, and i guess you are right! hard to tell who the manager really wants at Liverpool though due to the comitee and the endless targets!

{Ed025's Note - sorry shiisha, i think you will find klopp has the upper hand on who comes in mate..

Da funk are you talking about? salah is 10 times the player Mido ever was! My point which you completly missed was that the italian league is very tough. Just a coincidense Mido was in Roma and sucseeded somewhat at Tottenham. He was bloody awful for Roma though.

Klopp was always going to pull of the odd baffling signing. Fortunately though I think most Liverpool fans like myself trust that there's method in the madness.

I thought paying 34m for mane was shocking and look at how he fit in to our system perfectly without a hitch

If Klopp is after this Robertson lad then fair enough, believe in klipperty.
