With the second podcast not out yet, I think it would be fun to try and guess ed1s player of the season.

He has said its not lallana, He has been critical or clyne, matip, klavan, lovren and at times milner so they are out.

He has been critical of migs but praised him lately but don't see it being him so he's out.

He said it would surprise us and that rules out couts, mane and his man crush firmino as they wouldn't surprise us.

Hendo not been fit for most of the season or studge so they out too.

origi has been hit and miss and not a key player so he out.

For me that leaves can and gini, However ed has wanted gini to get into the box more so I rule him out.

So I predict eds player of the season is can.

Am I right ed?

My guess would be you are wrong. Gini would be more likely. He hasaid been brilliant, so steady and solid and in control in most games. Had one off game when he was played deeper because of injuries but about it. Scored so absolutely crucial goals too. Can't wait for that moment he scores an away goal.

Can hasn't played well in enough games IMO.
I think Wijnaldum is fair, but if it's really going to surprise us then maybe it is Can.
Wijnaldum has been pretty consistent all season.

It's Henderson in his new deeper role and how well he adapted.

Although injured, he contributed massively throughout the first half of the season, and the team missed their Captain, who showed a maturity beyond his years.

maybe james milner? played almost every game at a fairly consistent level in an unfamiliar position in a very professional manner.

Gini had more assists than Countinho last season. He's got to be in with a shout. Hope he continues to get better for us.
