I am starting to get a bad feeling already about this transfer window. Mendy looks nailed on to go to City and we don't seem to be moving as fast as some other clubs.

Why won't we pay the asking price for our top two targets and then it makes everything easier as the window goes on? Also If near the end of the window we have spent the budget getting our top targets on a left back (or 2), a midfielder, left wing then we might have to comprimise on some other areas like right back. I would be ok with Milner and Trent doing that job.

My feeling is we could easily miss out on all our top 5 targets if we don't put a marker down early. Is the club doing all they can to bring in the top targets or still waiting to see what happens in the market?

Maybe we will pay the asking price but perhaps other clubs offer a larger wage package or the player simply doesn't want to move to us. We all love LFC, doesn't mean players do. Hopefully the players we have on our wanted list are players the club have already sourced a degree of interest from their agents.

Hes got a point lads. Im all for waiting till this magical window opens where it doesn't acrually stop people signing anyone just having hem play for you.

I think it only applies to fans because if the window isn't open on fifa then you can't sign anyone.

Honestly liverpool could send 4 faxes tomorrow with the asking fees for our targets, have them fly over, take thier pictures, sign and go off on hpliday ready for pre season.

Why on earth it takes any time is beyond me.

Remember firmino. Ed01 like 2 oclock its going to take time 2:15 he's signed. (It wasnt what was said but it was a liverpool transfer on speed, redbull and crack)

Oh and tbe same as 'transfer bans' well they can sign players but can't have them play for them.

None of it matters. Liverpool could have all the signings done on monday, we know who we want. Get it done.

Seems like some of you have forgotten previous seasons when we got in the champions league and then the following season finished 6th and had to start all over again.

Mendy going City
Sessegnon more likely to go to Spurs

Leaves Kieta, Brandt and Pereira as our primary targets my point is just go 100% to try and get your main one or two. While other clubs are looking around they may well come in for these players as there second choice.

It's going to be a very expensive window for most top clubs but it will be even more expensive if we finish 6th again.

I still say Klopp will turn to Bertrand in the end. Mendy will either go to City or be priced out of a move completely by Monaco. Sessegnon (if he comes) will go back to Fulham on loan and Klopp just is not stupid enough to buy Robertson to be first choice LB.
Bertrand is a solid option imo. And do we not have a deal with Saints to buy at least one of their players every summer? If we break that deal, LFc scouts may be banished from St. Mary's altogether.
