I know LFC have done well to qualify for Champions League but Man United have one the trophy that had eluded them, whereas Liverpool are still to win the Premiership. Next season maybe.

The Europa league according to manc fans years ago is the mickey mouse cup and not one they even wanted to be in.

Would the trophy mean as much to them if it didn't get them champions league football? I think not.

The EL is the same trophy that manc fans trashed (when twe kicked them out of it), the one Mou loathed for years (until he won it) and the one they were least interested in (until they got kicked out of the top 4 slots) so tho, it is a trophy, they lack any credibility in trying to celebrate a trophy along with the EFL Cup, they have been bashing relentlessly for years esp. after spending almost 200m this season.

Lack credibility? Jose wasn't in charge last year when we failed to secure CL football. So his hands were tied in that although like everyone we would rather play in the CL, we had to play in the Europa. We end up winning it, along with the league cup, and in his first season its two trophies. Yes they're not the two we all want. But it's still good to win, to ingrain a winning mentality into the squad, for the future. Also CL qualification. What were you expecting us to do? Win it and trudge off the pitch? Come on.

{Ed025's Note - you should know better than to expect liverpool fans to appreciate any united success stand, im sure if they had won the league (some hope) that no united fan would come on these pages and congratulate them mate, thats football rivalry for you im afraid..

I don't rate the Europa. No one else did either which is why they dangled the carrot of CL qualification if you won it. And I rate the League Cup even less. But Stand-United is right - its crucial for a club to establish a winning culture and Mourinho looks like he is doing that. They have some good players, will buy even better players this transfer period and they are less of a dogs breakfast than they were last year. So Man United fans have reason for some optimism.
