Anyone else think taa could be the new gerrard seems to be scoring quite a bit full of energy for the midfield role future captain dare I say.

{Ed025's Note - still very young though mike and has actually achieved very little up to now, to compare him with stevie g is ludicrous at the moment as we have seen players before who have not progressed but looked like world beaters when they were young, take jack rodwell for instance, at 17 he was touted as a future england captain yet now struggles to get on the bench for sunderland, lets see how he progresses over the next couple of seasons before we start burdening him with titles like the new gerrard mate..

Spot on, Ed25. These comparisons need to stop. This is what has caused rift btw fans regarding Hendo. Many slate him stupidly, cos he's not like SG, as if anyone is. While others like myself do not compare him to anyone and ask that he be allowed to develop and become the best player he can be for us. Same for TAA.

Allow the kid to breathe and learn the game cos if you don't, you get the likes of Rodwell and Barkley, over-hyped with little to NO quality cos they are living up to a reputation they can not back up with their talents.

Players like Gerrard are few and far between. It does no one any good to burden young players with these comparisons. I'd be delighted if TAA becomes a 1st team regular.
