Just reading Steven gerrards book so probably about 2 years late with these comments but wow, how we could do with some more players with his and carra's fierce determination to win and commitment to Liverpool as a club. Seems to me to be so important to have some local lads as the foundation and soul of the team. Hopefully that can be the likes of TAA and woodburn.

but ye, for me I think whether they are local or not, the fire and competitiveness is what we are after. Stevie and jamie are great recent examples, but I'm not sure if there are many others over the years we could point to? flanno?

The way it's gone now is if your British or Irish then you're considered local.
