We haven't won a PL game away in 2017. Any thoughts? My worry is that we still haven't recovered from our dreadful January and February form despite results suggesting otherwise.

Mane will be a big miss and it proved in Jan. I can't pretend but without him we don't look like the team that scores for fun. Coutinho seems doubtful for the match which leaves two top scorers out from the side. Stoke is a good side who has some decent players who could do a job at home.

This won't be easy. We should have beaten Bournemouth and take a point at stoke. Time for a lot of under performing over rated players to step up and prove a point. We cannot rely on players that are injured.

First time poster here and really hate to be negative which I am probably going to be but I really have a bad feeling that we will just fall apart now and end up outside the top 4. We have enough ready made excuses which I don't buy, mane, lallana, hendo and now coutinho. We should still have more then enough to see these 7 games out but I have a bad feeling that we will capitulate.
As I said first time poster but and I really hope im proved wrong.

Agree with you for once or twice harry lol. We can't rely on injured players anymore, time for underperforming players to step up and be counted.

Here's a positive thought I've not seen any other ponder, not to play down to much manes absence could be, have others considered that our poor form could have happened even if mane had been available? That we could be over that poor form as a whole and could just limp over the line for cl? Truth as seen by all with our own eyes mane is a major player in the way we play football but we can't be that dependent on 1 player as per Gerrard eras at times, if we do struggle itl be the impact of losing 3 of our key players LALLANA Hendo and mane, maybe others will finally step up, grab a chance given, itl be a roller coaster ride I can guess that much, I mean when have we ever done things the easy way? Exactly ha.

We had a shocking January but it came down to more than Mane and just as much due to Origi and Sturridge failing to step up, Coutinho and Llalana injuries and Can having a poor run.

In this run in I hope we see Llalana and Wijnaldum back together with either Can or Hendo sitting deep, that will help with creativity from midfield, then I hope Coutinho hits form with Firmino as they been threatening to do and Origi and Sturridge perform better this time. We have enough talent to still expect to pick up points despite a tough run of injuries, just need Llalana and Coutinho back on form asap IMO.

I think it was in large part down to confidence and mentality. We had a tough December and got some great results. Our opponents were perceived as "weaker" making us complacent. Combine that with the loss of Mane. Then suddenly these well organised "weaker" opponents start battling and going for us and we panic. Then we lose confidence.
We lacked leadership in January, more than we missed Mane IMO.

Zimbo,

We don't have enough games left for all this to happen. Henderson and Mane out for the season. Lallana is a touch and go ( Could miss a lot more games than we predict) So what's left? I am praying Sturridge remains fit for the remainder and prove why he is the best CF at the club. He could definitely score out from nothing!
