Haven't seen anyone else post so I'll be that guy.
83 points. Enough to win the league?
I have a sneaky little feeling somewhere deep down that it just might be.
Obviously any points dropped I think we're done and even with 83 you're still asking for favours from 3 sides really.
But we're 70/ 1 and if city and us win tonight that could quite easily be halved! Add to that it would be Chelsea having lost 2 in a row.

I like your optimism, possibly worth a quid! But I'd be really happy with 3rd or 4th and good summer recruitment.

sadly I can't see it really. even if chelsea screw up (which is a big if), the chances of city and spurs doing the same are next to nothing.
getting back into champs league will be massive and that's not sealed yet - but definitely looking a lot more likely after the weekend/ last nights results.
lets focus on bournemouth first and go from there.

Possibly but it relies on a number of mitigating factors including:
- Chelsea making mistakes. Chelsea might have a blip and with the FA Cup as a possible distraction they could drop points - will they drop enough though? We haven't really seen a complacency in their team this season, it would be a big shock if they showed it now.
- Us bucking the trend of under performing and losing to lesser teams as well as coping with a few key injuries in key positions (Mane, Henderson, etc) .
- Other teams also faltering at the same time. We'd need both Spurs and City to drop a significant number of points and, to be honest, they just don't look bad enough. City might as their defence is a shambles but Spurs look rock solid right now and have a water tight defence as well - I really don't see them dropping off like last season.
It will be an interesting run in and, you never know, we could pull off a huge surprise. The reality is though we're a lot of points off the top with a lot of high quality teams around us vying for the CL places. I'd honestly prefer us to just take it a game at the time and try and secure CL - once we do that we can look at 1st place and see how attainable it is (or is not as the case may be) .

3rd or 4th place is our most likely finish, tho I must add that the last time Mane was missing, we lost the plot, but we will be more prepared this time .

I'll take 3rd or 4th right now and with a win tonight and Arsenal dropping points, we can lay a death blow to Utd's CL chances and leave Arsenal's on life support.

It's on!
Chelsea have some tough games left. If they lose tonight, they will lose confidence and once that goes you can suddenly forget how to win.

See where we are in 3 weeks time I think. It's so so unlikely to happen but I haven't given up hope.

8 wins from 8 would be astonishing by itself but even if we did it chelsea would need just 5 wins from their last 9 games to finish above us. Let's make sure we get top 4 and then see how we do next season.

Remember this is LFC, we don't make anything easy for ourselves so despite the latest lot of results helping us a great deal I'm not confident of us helping ourselves lol.

I've been quietly thinking that Chelsea might slip up for a while, but fully expect Spurs to take advantage if that happens.
