Dortmund just signed Dahoud for £10 million.

Unbelievable.

In all fairness, an article came from Melissa Reddy before this transfer out saying Klopp had changed his mind of the type of midfielder necessary for our team and his focus has switched from Dahoud to a midfield in the mould of Naby Keita (well exactly Naby Keita in this instance) for our midfield.

It will always happen.

England pay a premium. Its different when there's internal league transfers in europe.

We wouls if probably of been quoted 18/ 22 mil for him.

They all know the moneys there and take advantage.

They signed Dembele for just above £11 mill last summer!

This was bound to happen, we very rarely go back in for quality players that we previously show serious interest in. Dahoud has had another good season with monchengladbach so there was always going to be a host of better clubs interested in him, it's happened time and time again. There are lots of other options and I'm sure he wasn't our first option but I'm worried we will miss out on the players that bring the quality we need to take the next step. Over the past 4-5 years I've completely lost any faith in our recruitment and scouting systems and that is yet to change under Klopp.

or rather, players that the papers say we have interest in.

What's so unbelievable about it? Dahoud went to another club so big deal. Klopp was no longer interested in him and moved on months ago so he rejected no one as we were no longer interested in him. A woman cannot reject you if you did not ask her out.
I haven't lost any faith as players come and go. We got Wiji after we left Dahoud alone and he has been awesome for us so I don't care really provided we get players in who can improve us. By the way, Dahoud is NOT a marquee signing neither are kids like Ousmane Dembele, Pulisic or whoever. Promising players yes, BUT not marquee signings, just saying.
