Gotta admit ed it's absoutly comical.

Our number one is worse than our number 2 and is on the bench and our current number 2 is playing well enough to keep our number one on bench and will be sold in summer.

If ever you needed a laugh then that's it.

{Ed001's Note - what a load of crap. Karius played less than 20 games and now morons have decided to write him off. Pathetic. What happened to giving a player time to prove himself? He kept a string of clean sheets after he first got into the team and still you lot bitched the moment you got an opportunity and turned it into a witch hunt. You make me ashamed to be a Liverpool fan! Shanks would not want the likes of you following his club. Comical? Yes your idiotic post was certainly that.}

On this seasons showings Migs is better than karius.

Can't be bothered to argue with you that is the facts.

{Ed001's Note - is it really? Bull. You have no facts you are just another boo boy on the back of someone because the morons in the media told you he was crap. Give it a rest, as you have no facts, just opinions, which are based on no evidence, so pure guesswork. Karius could turn out to be anything, but we don't know because of people like you getting on his back. Thanks for forcing the club to turn back to the known failure of Migs, because of that we can be assured of winning nothing this season. Modern era fans know nothing of support.}

TNTT - you talk complete and utter nonsense. Typical fickle fan with no understanding, knowledge or patience but with a big know all attitude, you are the type of fan that drags the entire club down.

I never even slated the lad, just said it was a funny situation is it that time of the month or something?

If I said karius was better than Migs, that would be ok though because that's your opinion as well, correct?

{Ed001's Note - this is obviously going over your head, but I am not saying any such thing. Perhaps you should just stick to booing our own players, it is your level after all.}

I don't know but if we are brining a cover for Karius in the summer at the expense of Mignolet, Y not stick with Ward? It looks like Klopp clearly doesn't rate Ward at all.

Karius is Klopp's no. 1.
He is young and Klopp sees potential in him.
He appears very weak on catching or punching from crosses.
In the later games during bis last spell in the 1st team he got so rattled he didn't even try to attack the hall but stayed rooted to the spot.

Migs while at first rising to the challenge of serious competition for the no.1 spot still causes nervousness to seep through the side as his distribution with the ball at his feet is very poor.

The club gave him a 5 year contract when Klopp came in and as I don't think he will get anything like the wages elsewhere so I think he is ours for the long term.

Maybe both keepers would benefit from having a settled back 4 in front of them.
Lovren for all his hard work seems to be unsettled very easily and causes the keepers to be uncertain and leads to stupid mistakes.

Matip seemed to be a steadying influence but has struggled with injuries at crucial times.

No lad it ain't going over my head. All I got to say is would you be this argumentative in person. The answer to that is no bet your a right soft lad.

{Ed001's Note - obviously not hard enough to argue with you, as you are a big brave keyboard warrior. Now run along and play like a good little boy.}

Personally think there isn't too much difference between them at the moment, but there is no doubting that Karius has the potential to be much better than Mignolet ever has been.
After only 16 games it is far too early to write off Karius, he is a young lad still learning his trade, trying to settle to a new club, city, teammates, training methods, style and culture of football, etc, etc.
I was shocked and angry that there was so much media frenzy over his mistakes, especially from Carragher, there have been other keepers this season that have made costly mistakes (Bravo, Lloris) that had nowhere near the attention.
Personally would rather see Karius in goal, didn't think dropping him was the right call, yes Mignolet has done ok, but as he showed in the Hull game he is a mistake waiting to happen, I hope Karius is played from Monday onwards, the only way the lad will adapt and improve is by playing, but he also needs the fans support, if he makes a mistake don't get on his back, support him!

Whilst I don't agree with the point is there any real need for the overreaction again Ed01? its only one persons opinion which everyone is entitled to whether its one that is shared is irrelevant really surely the premise of the site is to share rumours and opinions without the recourse for such reaction.

Anyway on to LFC, my opinion is Karius will come good and should the opportunity present itself again to replace migs I would hope Klopp would take it. He should have done it after the Hull game.

I agree with Ed01 in that fans need to allow the player time to grow and learn the leagues physicality let's not forget he's young and in a new country with a new language and that's before your put 50k fans behind him watching his every move.

onwards and upwards.

{Ed001's Note - what over reaction? TTNT has done nothing but be derogatory and insulting towards our players and other posters on the sites since he appeared. If that is how he wants to talk to others, then that is how I will speak to him.}

I'm totally fine waiting for Karius, I watched a few Mainz games last year and he was superb from what I remember. It's also a league with an abundance of good goalkeepers, Karius was recognized as the runner up for the league (pretty much a given with Neuer) .

He's already an improvement on Mignolet even if just for his high starting position, which allows the team to play as klopp wants. He also made a couple of really good instinctual saves in the cup games just as a taster. People forget that he broke his hand competing for a ball against Chelsea so I don't know where this idea of his being poor at coming for balls, perhaps this was true for his first few games for us but maybe that was more a confidence issue than ability? At £4.7m it could end up being the best business we've done in years; with a bit of patience from the fans.

TTNT you really do not convey a position of strength in an argument if you have to resort to petty, and veiled, threats of violence. Just some advice.

I do remember a certain Ed writing off Migs before he even joined and hammering him for poor performances in the first few games many many moons ago. Hypocritical. We needed a keeper for the here and now, not a possibly good one in 5 years time. The management ot this wrong.

{Ed001's Note - how is it hypocritical to judge someone based on evidence of a number of seasons? Not sure you understand the word. Perhaps you are also unable to understand the point, that I am asking people to judge on evidence of a number of seasons, not on a couple of games.}

Jesus, no need guys, chill out for gods sake! no one is going to get anywhere by arguing over text. just leaves bad feeling all round.

To be fair to TTNT he never mentioned violence and 50% of posters slate the players so its nothing new!

like i said just chill out, much more important things going on in the world!

{Ed001's Note - actually he did in his next, deleted, post, when he asked to meet up next time I am in the UK. Bless his little cotton socks.}
