See there is a lot of this about - we need another Mane.
Yesterday's performance owed a lot to Spurs's tactics.
Spurs decided to play the offside trap and defend high up the pitch. That's meat and drink to speed-merchants like Mane.
Our problem has come against teams that defend deep. Teams that put 9 men between their penalty box and the edge of the centre circle. You don't get through that with men running in behind like Mane. You get through that by quick movement of the ball, pass and move. Or you get through it by having dribblers like Messi who commit players and disrupt their organisation.
It's not as simple as "buy another Mane" IMO.

Agree wholeheartedly Ron. We can do that in upcoming games v Arsenal, City away if they don't change their style and again I think Leicester away will be similar as they will have a go. Games v West Brom, Crystal Palace, Sunderland, Hull that's where we simply keep the ball side to side and try and then bash our way through when teams sit in. If the other top 5 sides and Everton start to adjust to nullify us then would have the same issues, fortunately they are under pressure to attack us [except Mourinho of course, he simply tries to hang in and win 0-1 or draw against all the top teams away from home].
Hopefully Klopp will find some gems in the summer.

Rotation mikey. Imagine the left flank with another Mane. Just imagine. Blistering pace on either side with Firmino up front and Couts in the middle pulling strings. Exceptional.

I would still want another winger on the left someone who isn't just a runner but a dribbler and has an eye for goal. Coutinho is wasted on the left and wingers will definitely pull defenders out from their position. That's more than enough for Couts to pick and move inside through the center. A good winger will get the best out from a decent Full back as well.
