Hi Guys

Mt 2 penneth worth,

for a number of years now we have suffered from the same problem, a lack of concentration causing too many individual mistakes. When you look at the goals scored against us over the past 2-3 years and especially the past season, they have mostly come about from individual mistakes and mainly by the same players, Mingolet, Louvren, Clyne, Moreno. This has to be erradicated - against Hull again Mings messes up puts the team under pressure and then confidence drops. We are constantly having 70% of possesion and losing or drawing the game by individual mistakes. The question has to be asked why are we constantly making silly individual mistakes? Teams know know that they can sit back soak up the pressure and wait until we mess up and hand them a goal, We are not mentally strong enough. Mings and Louvren are our biggets culprets, so for me they have to go, mistakes destroy confidence and it must be so frustrating to see the same mistakes loose us game after game.
We have to get the spine of the team sorted, Starting from the Keeper - the last decent keeper we had bodgers got rid of. We need are desperate for a strong confident keeper, another strong centre back to partner Matip, and a dedicated no 9.
I am sure Klopp knows what he is doing and i am confident he will get it right, however with the defense we have at the moment we can't expect to win anything and ia am sure Klopp Knows it.

YNWA

In Klopp we trust.

{Ed001's Note - to be fair to Rodgers, Reina wanted out and was forcing the issue, so he had little choice. Though a more experienced manager might have been able to command the respect of the player and convince him to stay, admittedly, I still do not think that blame can be laid at Rodgers' door for Reina leaving. That is firmly down to the player, who had been nothing but a problem since Valero left.}

How can people not put two and two together and work out that all these problems started with mignolet.

It was at the end of daglishs tenure that there were rumours of agger and skrtel both being wanted by city and brendan stating that neither were leaving. They where all performing quite well but this was before suarez had become el numero uno superstar only hitting 11 premierleague goals.

Reina 11/ 12 40 conceded dag
Reina 12/ 13 42 conceded bre
Mig 13/ 14 50 conceded bre
Mig 14/ 15 48 conceded bre
Mig 15/ 16 50 conceded bre/ klopp

Its an extra 10 goals conceded per season since he joined that's not what a keeper should bring. We should be between 30/ 40 conceded each year. Those ten extra saves per year could add 10 points.

Can noone else see it. And before you all say karius was no better i just looked and he only had 5 premier league games before he was dropped. 5!

Mignolet has had 133.

You all think karius could get abit more time?

Great post supermane. the stats don't lie. Migs has been a 3 yr disaster yet he's still at the club and wd have made no attempt to sign a top goalie. I know our defence is generally poor but you start with the geeza between the sticks. Quality brings confindence and stability. Migs brings chaos and nerves and always has done. Id give Karius the nod for the rest of the season then buy a top keeper in the Summer. pkease lfc buy a god damn decent keeper!

The recipie of Goals conceded.

One bowl of non existent midfield who are in danger of any counter attack. Add one glass of High pressing full back who leave acres of space behind for someone to run. Mix one half of CB ( Klavan, Lucas, Lovren ) all possessing 0 pace gets dragged down by any half decent pacy striker. Now stir them with two keepers who are competing with each other for maximum mistakes.
Now put this inside the Owen, A manager who is yet to figure out a way to organize a decent defense.

Your Goals conceded dish is ready to use.
😄.

Completely agree a top keeper would give the team more confidence, how many times has De Gea saved united the past few years . one mistake and it's a goal confidence gone we push to get back in the game then get caught on the break.

It would also probably help not having two players not good enough for our midfield in our back four too.

This is always what you need to do with the majority of mignolets conceded goals. Think of a lloris, de gea type and imagine them facing whatever shot it was and 80% of the time you will go de gea saves that. jeses sometimes over the past years you have watched motd and united highl8ghts have just been de gea.

Whens the last time someone scored a goal againdt us where you went what a finish. or it was on goal of the month. a 3o yard screamer with his eyes closed. They are practically always saves he should make. we could have one of the best records in the prem in my opinion.

Everyone always goes on about the rest of the team but you do realise no matter how good you are, your keeper has to make a save at some point, he has to bail you out at some point. Tottenham have a terrific record but do you not think lloris has had to make a save. of course these keepers make mistakes and that but they make there saves those ones that there paid to make better than ehat a fan could do for free.

Saving for a keeper is like controlling the ball for an outfield player. Its nothing really to be praised about as it is a minium job requirement to be a f@#$#@g professional footballer.

Its like getting someone to try a new food all thiz.

Get mignolet out of goal and i trust you we will improve as a whole defensivly if whoever comes in is giving as much support as mignolet has had. Not 5 games.

But remember there will be times we conceed goals its not a reason to drop the next keeper.

Let karius or whoever have there 100+ games.

Super, Karius WAS the choice for Klopp but the moaners on here got on his back cos he made two mistakes and hence, forced Klopp's hand to take him out of the team cos to them "he's losing us the PL" nonsense, like we could win it this season with a squad of 15 good players at best. Now that error prone Migs (who they clamoured for) has returned the one whom Karius was brought in to replace, has returned and cost us points again (shocking I know) they now want Karius back in. This is a microcosm of the state of LFC today. Knee jerk reactions and an inability to be patient with new players. Even Klopp is being called out for the sack. Good Grief!
