Eds, do you know anything about these leaked e-mails from FSG regarding their purchase of the club? I've heard bits and pieces, is it as bad as it sounds, or is it typical overreaction?

{Ed001's Note - I don't know mate, I haven't seen them as the wifi here is awful and I am mostly on my phone using data so only editing for now until I get sorted over the next weekend.}

The ones I've seen don't seem that bad. doesn't mention player investment just acquiring the club on the cheap. basing it on the same model as the red six take over. Putting in premium seats and targeting the international fan base.

I haven't seen the emails.
I as much as the next fan love the club and want nothing for the best for us.
In FSG purchasing the club. They done what any business would do. They got it for the cheapest possible price and they're expanding the LFC brand for a better financial income.

The people that posted the e-mails on facebook and twitter have misread them completely. One discusses the different options that RBS had at the time -

1. Take a stake in the club
2. Put the club into administration
3. Extend the loans to Hicks and Gillette if they agreed to resign from the Board and RBS take control
4. Find a buyer, but these were just some peoples opinions.

The second e-mail states that if FSG managed to buy the club at the value of the debts to RBS then they would be getting a "steal. "

It then discusses how to maximise the clubs revenues by possibly one day using the website to stream pay per view matches and by redeveloping Anfield rather than building a new stadium.

No big deal, just people looking for any excuse to have a pop at the owners.

Waro if you read the alternatives if they hadn't have bought us, then yes they saved Liverpool. I'm sure if we'd been in administration or RBS had been running the club we wouldn't be where we are now in terms of investment since.

Oh i wish fsg bought the club, made the stadium smaller and reduced tickets so only locals could go. and then I really wish they didn't bother with international fans cos it's not like manU, chelsea, city or arsenal do that. i really wish liverpokl became smaller cos then we'd be the biggesr club in england.
