When I said LFC should have gone for Jesus in January because he fits Klopp's targets ie good and one for the long term and asked whether it was a question of money, I got 'no'to both suggestions from one of the eds. Also some reds said just because he played well in his first game does nt mean he will come good. Everybody could see and sees now that he has skills, speed and an eye for goal. Unfortunately, we are still stuck in the mindset of 'young and affordable', which means we will always lose out on targets. I agree we should not just splash the cash but sometimes a financial sacrifice is well worth it.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has had no interest in the player (none, nada, zip) and there was no way on earth that Manchester City would have sold him in January. Just fantasy football.}

I meant before Man City bought him.

Even if we were interested, why would he come to us over City? We have won precious little for over a decade, we have had 1, disasterous, champions league run since Rafa was sacked.
Money is not the only requirement to sign players, we have lost a lot of prestige to the top players of today.

I like your optimism Ron, but with your keeper and defence I think Spurs and City are best placed to challenge should Chelsea implode ( highly unlikely )

I guess Gab Jesus is another one in the long list of players Liverpool "missed out" on even tho, we had no interest in him. Good Grief!

Because we don't match his ambition ed?

{Ed002's Note - No, Liverpool has had no interest in the player (none, nada, zip). It is getting a tad embarrassing.}
