My take on liverpool atm.

Bad points;
1, how is this the same team that looked unstoppable in the first half of the season. We were playing so well we were classed as title contenders.

2. I have watched our forwards a lot over this period and my point of view is sturridge does not offer enough movement for tge way we want to play. Origi you could say is a work in progress but none of them have been doing a good enough job, how many times have we had the ball in the opponents last 3rd and both strikers ate just staric on the edge of the area.

3. Thefans in general but i think this is a small percentage but the way some of them have acted is beyond didgusting. We are supposed to be a family. I garuntee you no one will be hurting more than them players stop the negativity and SUPPORT tge pkayers as we and past generations should and could.

Good point;

1. we were thart good in the first half of the season, we must be able to replucate them sort of performances. let's get behind the team and show them that we are in this together.

2. Klopp if you listen to the media you maybe guilty of thinking he has no clue. Just liok were we were when he took over i know it may feel like we are back at that stage but every team goes througb a bad patch but if this run hapoened two years ago how many of you would be confident we can turn it around i know i am.

3. Youth, so many people have demanded youth be given a chance and klopp has done that. Skme of yhem might not of performed the way you expect, but look at it like this an apprentice mechanic does not look at hez first engine and instantly know what to do, it takes time and experience. Some will be excellent some will be good and some will be average either way we should encorage them.

There is plenty more but it feels like an esay tak care redmen YNWA.

My take:
Teams are allowing us space on the wing because we have Clyne and Milner/ Moreno out there.
Clyne can't cross a ball. He comes from the Djibril Cisse school of precision football i. e. Close your eyes and smash it as hard as possible. Very easy to defend
Milner is more skilful than Clyne but is too slow and has to come on to his right foot thereby turning into trouble.
Moreno is just an awful footballer who should be playing in the Kazak Sunday league.
So teams just pack the middle of the pitch basically sandwiching all our decent players and denying them space.
When Mane comes back, the threat on the right changes from Clyne - headless, to Mane - quality. Therefore teams either give Mane space or Firmino/ Coutinho space.

{Ed001's Note - why do we keep hearing in the media that Clyne is a great right back? Do they actually watch games? He is a serious weak link in the team and we really need TAA to step up as Randall offers nothing at the moment and seems to be making zero progress. In fact he seems to be regressing.}

Spot on ron, which is why we needed to play ojo yesterday rather than condence play through the middle. He might not be in the best of form but it would have been light years ahead of randall on the right.

TAA is already ahead of clyne for me ed, struggles just as much as clyne defensively but he is already streets ahead of him offensively despite his tender years. Some of his crosses in the southampton game were spot on but our floundering strikers could not capitalise. I was surprised randall played ahead of him despite playing midweek, he is young and could have coped i think.

{Ed001's Note - Klopp was just being careful with TAA. Though I disagree on Ojo, it is Wilson that should have got a shot - on the left where we particularly lack width. Moreno would be much better if he was overlapping a winger, rather than being the sole provider of width. Then he would be forced to wait, rather than just run forward brainlessly the moment we got the ball.}

Moreno isn't disciplined enough to keep the width. Gets goal hungry and tries to play as old fashioned inside left. Too many times against wolves when the cross was too deep or there was a clearance and we needed someone hanging out wide, he was in the box! Headless!
We need a 20 goal a season striker! Too often this season we have dominated possession and territory but we haven't had the cutting edge in the penalty box.

{Ed001's Note - that is why he needs a winger ahead of him, so he doesn't have to provide the width and can be more disciplined.}

Ha ha ha people actually have positives from one win in 8 games. Give me a break the whole thing is unravelling in front if us. Stevie Wonder could see this passing through the middle is not working, yet we have not changed. Pass, Pass, Pass, Pass, lose the ball, get caught on the break (panic in defence) and repeat. The season that promised so much is over because our manager wouldn't or couldn't change things.

Dan i understand your turmoil, we are all suffering atm including the players and the manager. I can't say that we will suddenly turn it around but pulling our hair out and getting into a tizz over it only puts your blood pressure up. I can say that they will work hard to turn it around, the football we played before the turn of the yr was the best in the league if not europe, i refuse to believe we won't rediscover some of that swagger.

Danray, have you become part of the doom and gloom brigade, all of a sudden? "The season is over". Says who? You? Calm down bro. You say Klopp couldn`t change things. Where have you been? Klopp has tried diff. formations, tactics, personnel, the whole lot YET some of the players (Origi, Studge, Klava etc) have all failed him as they have not stepped up to the challenge. Not saying he shouldn`t get somme of the blame BUT players have to take their own brunt of the blame too. Studge in particular, has shown me nothing to suggest he`s worth a paycheck at LFC. Many were saying he should be starting ahead of Firmino at the start of the season. We now know why he will NEVER start ahead of him. Mane left ad many on here wwere confident that Origi and Studge could fill in. They have disappointed and betrayed Klopp`s faith in them. Still Klopp gave them chances and Studge especially, provides no movement, doesn`t press and fluffs the chances he does get. Is that Klopp`s fault as well?

As for TAA vs Clyne, it`s no longer a competition. TAA is better than him in every dept but is too young to be playing three games a week as an 18 yr old. We just need to show more belief and bravery by making forward runs and let our attackers take on players. After all, it is this same team that has amassed the most points tally in LFC PL history at this stage so this bad patch should not define them. Keep the faith, lads!

I was on board until yesterday's shambles Noah, there is only so much you can take 1 win in 8 is not good enough no matter what competition it is in. Maybe Klopp picked the team yesterday because he wants to concentrate on a top 4 place. I don't know if that is the case only Klopp knows that. I agree with you that the player's have to take some of the blame, they simply are not good enough. I also don't take to this over whelming believe that Mane is the saviour. If the player's can't step up when he is not playing the future doesn't look good going forward.

I respect your opinion, Dan and you`re right, Mane is not the savior even tho, he will greatly help us in our quest for success.

I've said before, we need to be glad that we have a first 11 that is capable of challenging for the title. This is real progress and down to Klopp. He and we are now finding out what's behind that first 11, and it needs either strengthening or developing. Some players will be moved on, some will be brought through. This is going to take time and fortitude.
