3rd Tottenham 1 win in 10
4th Liverpool 1 win in 7
5th Man City 1 win in 7

Unfortunately its just our turn for a slump, let's be honest a title challenge was never really on for this season, we don't have the defence for one. That was a good cup run but now its gone so time to move on, starting with Wolves at the weekend.

Spurs 1 win in 10? ity 1 win in 7? what are these figures from?

tottenham last 10 games, won 8 drawn 1 lost 1. Man city last 7 games
won 4 drawn 1 lost 2. Stop talking BS just to prove something that is a lie.

Anyone with half a brain would realise the op meant this season not literally the last 7 games and whether the numbers are spot on I think we can get the point if we really tried. Although isn't it more fun to try and prove someone wrong? Just making yourselves look like fools.

Even Chelsea took a while to get going. Marathon not a sprint. We just have a stitch!

{Ed002's Note - I think you will find Chelsea won their first few games of the season. Perhaps you could find another embarrassing comparison rather than face up to how things are?}

That is some great logic there higgins, so we can pick absolutely random stats to prove a point that is incorrect. Also as ed002 said chelsea never went through remotely anything like liverpool are, Chelsea's worst run in pl this season is 2 losses and a draw in 3 games, now compare that with Liverpool's.

I think what the OP was originally trying to say was that all teams have their bad runs.

1st Chelsea went 1 win in 4 games in September
2nd Arsenal went 1 win in 5 games in November
3rd Spurs went 1 win in 10 games in October/ November
4th We've gone 1 win in 7 in January
5th City went 6 games without a win in November
6th United went 3 wins in 9 in October/ November

The point, although clumsily made was that all teams have a bad patch.

What Ed002 is alluding to I believe is that we shouldn't just blindly assume things will get better and we need to face that right now we are not playing well and that it is pointless comparing us to anyone else.

The difference is that all of those teams have come out of their slumps so we need to as well. It is up to Klopp to make that happen and he needs to fast or we will find ourselves too far behind.

Oh, it's the slump runs. I have no idea why that stats is relevant, but here's a better one, Chelsea 13 winnin games in a row. Notice you left that out. This slump has pretty much handed Chelsea the title

Chelsea worst run was not winning 2 matches in a row. They still progressed in the EFL cup. calling 2 games without a result a slump, is really pushing it.

Higgins, and RedDawn have explained the OP's point and that point supported by the stats, is more than valid for all teams vying for the top 4. We can knit-pick all we want but that fact remains. It is up to us to get out of it as soon as we can and comparing us to a team(s) on form currently, will not fix the issue.
