It's quite simple, ed said
1) we have looked at him in the past
2) a deal would be possible i. e. they would entertain a bid if we paid the right price
3) but he's not aware we have spoken to them about this

This seems a red herring based on the fact we were in Lisbon to talk to them about Markovic and someone's added one plus one and gotten 3
