Stevie is onto a winner here,

Jurgan has stated that he would like to be here around 7 years like BD and FCM. That gives Stevie 4 years to work his way up the ranks up until assistant manager in JK's last year. Exactly like zidane at Madrid. He can also do punditry on the side but learn management from the bottom up. He could be the manager of MK Dons right now but has chosen to work with the academy. What does that say about his passion for the club. Having him around can only be a good thing and I also think if he implements his ideas within the youth set up of the club, we will have a great future manager of LFC with a lot of home grown talent in the squad.

{Ed007's Note - I've just been a wee bit sick in my mouth reading that. Have you ever considered a career writing soap opera storylines or chick flicks?}

No thank you. Leave him in the academy to inspire the kids. He is too careless to be manager. He'd be done for tapping up on a monthly basis!

When Klopp steps down I really hope we use our head and not our heart by appointing Pepjin Linders as head coach/ manager.

Josh shall we just wait and see if he turns out to be a decent coach first, let alone assistant manager. As Klopp said himself, whatever Gerrard does after football he's starting from zero. He's not coached or managed before and we've no idea how good (or bad) he'll be. Only time will tell!

Klopp has his own assistants and he is not going to have the circus that comes with Gerrard anywhere near the first team.

Saying he'll be bad is no better than saying he'll be good. let's just leave him be and wait and see how it turns out.

what exactly did I just read, come on man you can't be serious? Besides the fact, Klopp hasn't been here long and your already talking about when he's off, wow.

Why would Jurgen Klopp dump the excellent assistants that he's worked with and trusted for years, for Gerrard?
And God forbid, when Klopp does eventually move on. and I hope it won't be for many years yet, I hope Liverpool FC sets its sights much higher than Gerrard when looking to appoint a new manager!

I'm fairly happy with the assistant manager we have now! And think we need a more experienced manager than a first timer when Klopp leaves, club legend means nothing as a manager

Good point Danray. This romanticism and sentimentality must be done away with.
Gerrard may or may not make good coach. We don't know. Let's let him go prove himself and stop this fantasy.

We'll soon be sounding like Man U fans (Giggs) .
Good luck to Stevie and hopes he makes a decent career for himself, be it eventually at LFC or elsewhere.

For now, we have a manager in place, and a class one at that. Let's focus on that and supporting him and his technical team.
