What's this I am hearing about Aguero Man City are willing to listen to offers. Can't be true surely.

From the outside looking in, I doesn't look like Pep really favours Aguero, and his style of play doesn't suit him much for me. I think pep's system needs quite a large tweak to actually work for the premiership.
As it stands though. City have, Sterling, Silva, KDB, GabrielJesus, JesusNavas, Sane, Iheanacho, Nolitoand Aguero fighting for 4 starting positions. It makes sense Navas will go, but possibly some of the other names too. I actually preferred Silva in the deeper role in the 2 games he played there just like pipco has played at times.

I certainly think some of the big names could go (I'd expect Navas to be offloaded at the bare minimum. )

What do you all think of the the 'get the player to match the system' versus the 'use a system that gets the best out of the players' debate?

Aguero is one of the best Strikers in the world, I think I'm right in saying he has the best strike rate in Premier League history. Surely if you have a player that good you tailor the playing style to suit him rather than get him to adapt to your way of playing.

It's a good discussion Putney. Might be worth making a completely separate thread for it? and leave this one to a city discussion about the player movement If you copy paste it, .

I had a browse at the City rumors page and ED002 did say that Aguero is available for transfer.

One of the best forwards in the world. Someone who will bang 20-30 + a season and you look to sell. Where is a middle-eastern billionaire when you need one!

Isnt Aguero facing the same fate as Sturridge? Individually both right up there, doesn't fit into either system. Expect both to move out in the summer. City will break the bank to land Auba and Liverpool will look for a lesser version of Auba.

Sturridge and Aguero atm are completely different players . stu after his injury has completely lost his pace and mobility which is necessary playing in our system. In fact he can't even take on players.

If I'm not mistaken, Aubameyang has made it clear that it is Real Madrid or bust for him were he to move from BVB. But then, things may change. As great a forward as Kun is, he may not be the right one for the way Pep likes to play, as strange as that might sound. Separate question, would Aguero fit Klopp`s system?
