Some people here have such low standards. Harping about being joint second and highest scoring team in the PL. The same historians will talk about Istanbul.

Why not look at the fact that we are winless in 4, We have not scored from open play since the Sunderland game and we are now 7 points off Chelsea with major home games against our rivals for top spot.

The level and standard of this team has gone down. there is concern from a few, but are the rest of the fan base just expecting us to wave a magic wand and somehow catch Chelsea who are supposedly due to go through a rough patch and drop points as some on here think is bang on to happen? We have to be close enough on points to the leaders to have a chance. Based on our current form that doesn't seem to be where we are headed.

Chelsea will drop points at Anfield 😎 We have been unbeaten against our rivals so those home games would seem like a positive to me. I guess some of us remember where we have been in the league in recent seasons and would have been happy to be in a cup semi final and 2nd in the table at this stage.

We have to beat them first mate . Playing at home does not mean you get the 3 points all the time

Why do we have to be so negative? Its one of the best seasons we've had in a while barring 13/ 14 perhaps, we still have Klopp as our coach, we hopefully have three of our best players coming back soon in Couts, Hendo and Matip (and Mane if Feb) and no, the title race isn't over yet!

Yes we haven't played our best in a few games but that's bound to happen every so often in a tough league and it's hardly been the end of us.

Oh and by the way. I think the words you're looking for are 'walk on' rather than 'feel depressed' when you go through a rough patch 😆

All I'm saying is we beat Chelsea and Arsenal away so why can't we beat them at home? There's two ways of looking at the situation and I'm trying to be a glass half full guy.

I'm sure some fans think they will actually drop dead if we don't win the title this year.

Zimbo - actually we are in a better position at this point than we were in 13-14 - more points, players coming back rather than going missing (by and large), more of our top 6 opponants away than we will have this time and a much better run-in than we had last time (no top 6 opponants in our last 8 games vs 2 in our final 4 in 13-14).

Ok Sweet Chin, you are coming across as a bit "multiple personalities". Last week we were going to win the league, 1 game later we're not catching Chelsea.
Try not to be so reactive. 1 game, a 2 point swing and you've given up hope- it's bonkers 😜

I won't give it until it's mathematically impossible. It's more than possible for Chelsea to drop points. Seen the majority of there games this season and the defeat to spurs was on the cards. And I honestly think they'll drop points, they still have united, city, arsenal and obviously us to play yet.
Not saying we'll win it but think it'll be pretty damn close.
Gladly we seem to be getting players fit at the right time. time to push on.

"We will never catch Chelsea anymore". Do you have the winning lottery nos. as well, Harry? Vintage Harry, really as Ron described, always talking with all four sides of his mouth that it has become extremely difficult to keep up with what he (or they) actually believe. We are still in a good position and still have the 3 of the top six coming to Anfield including Chelsea so we will see what happens. As long as we continue fighting hard, that`s all I care about and of course, we must make the CL this season. All teams will drop points all we have to do is drop less than anybody else. Things are so tight right now and if we don`t keep calm stop over-reacting to each result (good or bad), we may end up losing everything as in, the title and CL footie.

We played Chelsea of the pitch at Stamford Bridge. It actually forced them to change the way they've played since.
They are not looking forward to playing us at Anfield.

They are ahead now on merit and are the team the rest are aiming for.
That brings it's own pressures.
