Well between the papers and various sports media outlets every pundit is convinced we are going to lose easily tomorrow. I don't mind being the underdogs that is fine. I certainly do not think we will be as bad as Wednesday night. We certainly have not become a bad team over night. I hope we shove it back down these " PUNDITS " necks.

I have been watching all the previews and reading all the articles about the match and united are heavy favourites. it's almost surprising how we are being brushed aside as having next to no chance, I knew they where favourites due to momentum but united are being touted as 'the last wonder of the world'. Im not overly confident about the game but if I was a player and not a fan I'd see that as big motivation. I'd almost be so p***** off at being so undervalued compared to united that I wouldn't have nerves going into the game, I'd just want to get out there and put Herrera on his ass and just bully him and pogba. The problem is, we have a psychological issue with united similar to the one Everton have with us. Even though we should beat them we rarely do, especially at old Trafford. This is something that I've never quite understood, and has made me question the bottle that the players have sometimes. We talk about Klopp firing a rocket up their asses when it's needed but why does it have to be that way for a game against united, I hope we start sharp straight away, clinical passing and clinical shooting is the only way I see us beating united because possession will be up for grabs and united will constantly be hitting on the counter. Our pressure and intensity needs to be on point and if it's not I feel like united will get the early lead and see us out. I feel like the first half will determine the winner and we have been slow starters so it better not be the case this time.

I refrained from commenting about the game and just kept myself to myself with all things concerned so I'll continue to do so, but this is make or break. Are we title challengers or are be battling for top 4.

I'm not surprised, we were defensive shambles agents Southampton.

What do you want a Liverpool supporter to say stand utd, " we are going to beaten " get a grip. It's called supporting your team.

United are at home, unbeaten in 11 and won their last 9, spent a fortune in the Summer while Liverpool are having a bit of a sticky patch. Why should United not win?

Amazing how in October United were bemoaning the press were treating us as the 8th wonder if the world and now going into tomorrow we are outsiders.
Granted, we haven't looked as good of late but united, like Chelsea, have had a run where they have had some luck and either come up against weaker teams. Think united have only had Spurs as a team of note in their PL run of wins and, on the day, Spurs were massively disappointing.
I am torn over who I want starting tomorrow - I kind of want Origi as, with Mane out, he is the only other player with genuine pace meaning United can't just go out and play a high line. On the flip side, I want Firmino down the middle. Anyone else for Origi on the right side of the 3 up top?

My only prediction for tomorrow is for Herrera to fall over in the box tomorrow, maybe more than once. Oh and to only get yellow carded with five mins to go despite having persistently fouled his way through the game. Do get the impression I dislike him, as a player? 😉

{Ed004's Note - Bit of a hypocritical comment since you've had Lucas doing it for years...}

There is a good chance Klopp will field 4-3-3 to counter United's 3 men midfield. Coutinho - Firmino - Lallana up top.

Ed004, not really mate - Lucas last got into the opponents box in 2011.

{Ed004's Note - More making reference to the dozens of fouls he can make each game}

I'm confused as to why a shift in formation would be required just because Mane is at AFCON. Assuming Hendo is back, the midfield 3 of him, Adam and Gini has worked well all season. Lallana hasn't looked nearly as good playing in a front 3, and Bobby is much less effective on the wing, so why put him there so Origi or Sturridge can play in the middle? I'd sooner disrupt the 433 as little as possible and replace mane with Ojo or Origi. Sturridge should be kept on the bench and used for impact because his pressing just isn't up to scratch. Losing one player won't damage our chances too much, but p*ssing about with the formation may do.

Ander Hererra 3 yellow cards, Jordan Henderson 6 yellow cards. Yep, Hererra will foul his way through the game. Laughable

Not sure how reliable they are but 'whoscored' have Henderson averaging 1.2 fouls per match this season, yet Herrera is averaging 1.5. With Henderson having double the yellow cards was my original, albeit flippant, comment that wide of the mark?

Stand, we should beat you because we are better than you.
