Did the club not wash their hands of luis Alberto for similar offence (I'm aware he's nowhere near the player), I adore bobby on the pitch but I'm disgusted and I'd be interested what the club sanctions are for such reckless and unforgivable behaviour.

If it`s a first offence, then it`ll be only a fine and a reprimand, IMO.

Clubs should never get involved in such matters.

He will attend court and will receive a fine and ban which leaves a criminal record as well as a ban.

He's made a stupid mistake and will suffer.

Leave it at that and hope that he's a mature enough boy to learn.

It is what it is, obviously it's not good but it's happened, people make mistakes, time to move on, no point in complaining about it when what's done is done, idiot for doing it yes I do agree but my god people go on like he's killed somebody which of course couldve happened but it didn't. Let's not get involved in his personal life like the media, what he does in his spare time is his business not ours, who are we to point the finger? It'd be different if he was stumbling all over the place on the pitch because he was off his head but that hasn't happened, leave him alone him as a footballer can't be judged by a daft mistake like this. - Unforgivable behavior? unbelievable. I take it you have never made a mistake then. Difference is your not a celebrity and not plastered all over the news because of it.

I expect Klopp and the club will take a dim view of this and rightly so. 1. He may well miss the Chelsea match. 2. It's a distraction the team doesn't need. 3. Star players like Firminho have a responsibility to project a good image of the club. Drink driving is socially and morally abhorrent.
For me it depends somewhat on the circumstances. If he was marginally over the limit it could be an error of judgement, albeit a serious one. If he was a long way over the limit, he'd be in hot water!

How would he miss the Chelsea game? He made a mistake off the pitch, it shouldn't result in him being dropped from the team. Klopp will take a dim view of it, but he won't make more out of it than he needs to. Especially as it would hurt the team.
