Eds if Mignolet is starting well why the hell did Klopp go out of his way to defend him. I really will be losing faith in Klopp if this is the case. I really thought he would not bow to a load of idiots and that includes the one's on this site. If Mignolet makes a mistake i hope you remember who they are. Hamilton red, Sweet chin music etc etc.

{Ed002's Note - If he is to be dropped it will be because of confidence more than anything else. It will be embarrassing for Klopp but little more.}

I can't recall Hamilton or Chin trashing Karius or called for Migs, but I do sometimes miss posts.
Klopp won't make his decisions based on anything anyone says. He is the manager and his job is to pick and prepare a team to win the next game. If he drops Karius, you can be sure he has done it for the right reasons and not because of fans or the media.

Take it from me and repeatedly over the months Karius on his worst day is better than Migs. This page unanimously agreed we need a new GK in the summer and we bought it.

Good solid performance by Mignolet. he's keeping Karius out of the first 11 right now.

{Ed025's Note - sherlock holmes lives!!!.. :)

Probably won't get posted but i will keep trying. Klopp has to take the boys state of mind into consideration more than anything else and try and protect him. I would personally play him again but obviously klopp has had a word and feels this is the best course of action.

I hope it does not affect him too much and he comes back fighting for his place, and heres to hoping for an error free evening from mignolet who bizarrely some are wishing to fail to prove some point.

I would not have dropped him, period. The GK position is like that of the Quarterback in the NFL. If you pick a starter, you ride with him knowing he will make mistakes. To mitigate against the mistakes, you put him in a system where he will be protected (good defence, great running game and offensive line) until he becomes more comfortable in the position. Klopp had done that fairly well with karius as we conceded 5 in 7 games with him in goal. That protection failed vs Bournmouth and he was hung out to dry by his teammates. To me, that was a learning curve and tho he messed up vs WH, there is a lot of blame to go around as the team as a whole. Klopp may have done the right thing but we will see if Karius reacts to it positively or negatively.
