Karius is proving like John stones. He could pick a pass but can't do anything else well. That being said he is a million mile better than Migs.

You don't think he might need taking out of the firing line then Ed1. Not having a go as I want him to work out but do you not believe his performances are not only damaging the team with results but also damaging his confidence as it appears it is. If it's not then it must be his decision making. In which I hope it's his confidence as that would be an easier fix.

{Ed001's Note - no, the last thing he needs is that. What he needs is support, which is something in extremely short supply these days from Liverpool fans sadly.}

So how many points does he have to lose us before we do something about it. He is hardly any better than Migs other than his distribution. Its the same at City with Bravo.
The fans have a right to express concern. The team is playing great stuff but we need Karius to step up to the plate.

{Ed001's Note - seriously? He is much better than Migs with his distribution! Why does this happen every time a player gets dropped? Everyone seems to forget how bad they are and pretend they weren't actually dog turd and they were unlucky to get dropped, rather than remembering how many times a game they fumbled simple passes and crosses or how many shots on goal a five year old would have stopped that they palmed into the back of the net or fell over backwards to get out of the way of.}

Remember West ham also gifted us a goal. And we had nearly 43 mts to score a winner or more.

Sorry patemondo karius' distribution is light years ahead of mingolets it's his keeping which at the moment is just as poor.

Has everyone forgotten how poor De Gea was in first season? It pains me to say it but I can't recall one of my Utd supporting friends giving up on him. Why not support him and see how it turns out?

There are 10 other players on the pitch who took their foot off the gas when we scored. That's not good enough.

In a related situation to this, Ed001, what do you think of the entire scenario of commentary between Carragher/ Neville/ Karius? My opinion is that the greats have always put their head down, buckled up and somehow found ways to show their true worth on the field, without getting caught up in gossip and "he said" "she said" nonsense. I wish Karius would do the same. Just keep quiet, work harder and fix things without getting drawn into the distracting nonsense all around. But at the same time Carragher was unnecessarily harsh on Karius in his half time comments. Sounded very protective of his dearest pal Neville. I think he was going way beyond the football commentary he's paid to provide. What do you think?

{Ed001's Note - I really don't give a toss what Neville, who has shown how clueless he actually is and Carra, who has sold out for Sly's dirty money, have to say, but I do think Karius should shut up and concentrate on his game. What pundits have to say is irrelevant.}

A top quality gk is a priority for me. Cech and Cortois are not particularly noted for their ball playing skills and pin point distribution, yet if we had either of them we would probably be 5 points better off. The talk of Karius getting used to the league seems misleading to me - the goals given away are a result of poor shot stopping or a lack of decisiveness- nothing to do with the league being too physical for him.
The concern is that neither keeper is good enough and I guess it is likely that we will have to wait until the summer before either can be replaced.

{Ed001's Note - exactly the same things were said about De Gea in his first two seasons.}

I agree and disagree with ed01. I don't agree that Migs is the worst keeper in premiership, I think that Karius is worse. I agree that Migs doesn't save shots you wouldn't expect a keeper to save. but Karius is not saving those same shots. My 1st impression is not positive and I hope I'm proven wrong.
Where I agree is that Migs has proven his best is not good enough, where as Karius is as yet unproven and needs time to see if he can improve. If he can't then we need a new keeper. not sure how long a team who wants to win the league can wait.?!

Any thoughts on Manninger Ed001?

{Ed001's Note - purely a back up.}

On an ever so slightly different note Ed1, do you think that we should bring forward our plans to sign a lb/ cb?

Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - only if there are the right players available for the right price.}

Personally, I think, like many others have said in the past, it's about time we brought in a new goalkeeping coach.

Harry`s second point is very important. To blame Karius for the result is dishonest and biased as Harry`s point proves. Was it his fault that we could not break WH down for 43 mins plus injury time? Didin`t think so. Karius made two mistakes especially the second goal. The first looked like the ball dipped on him at the last minute so could have been a bit unlucky there but either way, he should have had that one. Now why we are talking about Migs is beyond reasonable understanding or do people think that the rest of us have short memories. The guy is a three year failure and he is right where he belongs.

Migs is a none starter and a non discussion. Karius needs support and he himself knew he messed up if you saw the disgust in his facial expressions after both goals. He stays in for at least 18 months and if he doesn`t pan out, he gets replaced and that`s that.

I was disappointed in Carragher during half time today . Have to agree with Ed1 sold his soul to hyperbole backing Neville in a spat with LFCs keeper it was Tyler Giggs and Neville who started this dodgy keeper s**te before the United match the lad hadn't done anything wrong at this point. Actually quite chuffed he gave it back to Neville. Pretty sure Carragher was happy enough every time Rafa had a pop at Fergie. Anyway rant over back the lad we never walk alone.

I don't care how many we concede. My manager has given me a green light before the campaign what it would be this season. We are not Chelsea to score one and preserve for the next 89 mts. This team has bought shed loads of attacking players for what? Y did we not score 4 today?
1 goal in 13 appearance for Wijnaldum who is primilnarly a froward thinking player. Except Henderson everyone are supposed to attack.
If anyone has let down Klopp it is the attackers who did not score 3 today.
Our full backs can't cross nor they provide any width. Firmino for god damn sake is a not a wide player. We were piss poor up front and west ham gifted a goal to us.

Y is Matip not getting any blame for the second goal?

So it's the rest of the trams fault that karius let's shots in amateurs should save Hamilton? Sorry but you can't excuse poor keeping on the team not being able to outscore the opposition that's nonsense. In fact to be blunt the team did outscore the opposition but for poor keeping.
