love firmino but he is more of an attacking midfielder. would just love someone like him with that strikers bit to and would free firmino up to play attacking midfield with rotaion between the other 2 playing there now.

{Ed001's Note - why do you say he is more of an attacking midfielder? He has done very well played up top, looks better there if you ask me.}

Grino, Firmino is NOTHING like an attacking midfielder. He is a striker, period. Even Klopp said so. At Hoffenheim, he played the modern day no.10 position (more like the second striker) behind the CF and bagged lots of goals and assists. he is a striker and Klopp has been playing him as such in 95% of his games.

He's got a name for himself there so why go for someone else when we have him. He's making the position his own and doing well at it. Attacking mid he maybe was but now it's a different story.

He is not a striker hence he often misses sitters before sloting one. He is more of a false striker. A striker's biggest strength is his composure infront of the goal.

He might not be your definition of a striker Harry but he's still our current striker. I can name you 50 'strikers' in the league with 0 composure in front of goal.

Is this sarcasm again, Harry? So, by that logic, with Suarez missing more than a few sitters in his second season is he now not a proper striker? I'm more than happy with Firmino upfront thus far, we're the highest scoring team in the league, and yet we still manage to nitpick here. Ron Keague aside, with our fixtures did any of you genuinely expect us to be in this situation going into Christmas?

Ron for me is one of the most optimistic fans on this forum.

TBH, when I saw the fixture list, I hoped that we would be top 4, maybe 5 points off first after the first twelve games. I also decided that if were top after 12 games, we would win the league. We have so far played a blinder - here's to hoping we can keep it up.

Chin I don't know any striker in the history of football who doesn't miss the odd sitter here and there.

{Ed002's Note - One has only to look at George Banks at Mansfield Town in the late 40s, and probably Ernie Moss when at Chesterfield in the last 60s.

Feel free to add these to the list of players Liverpool missed out on.}

Calm down people. Firmino will destroy the law of football strikers 😎. He will be one of a kind 😌.
