ED01, what do you think Emre Can has to improve to reach his potential? I get frustrated wirh his decision making at times.

{Ed001's Note - there is a lot he has to do. Number one is awareness, he is not aware enough of what is going on around him, which is why he so regularly turns into trouble. His heading is a major weakness he needs to work on. He is a big, strong lad, so he could be a real aerial presence in both boxes with a bit of work, enabling us to throw in crosses sometimes when there are few other options. I think Can also struggles with concentration levels, thinking about it, which is part of the issue with his awareness, as he is not concentrating so gets caught unawares. Concentration and awareness would also help with his vision, as he has shown the ability to pick out great passes, but he so often does not see the run.}

That is my main gripe with him, he so often does not turn out and switch the play. I think he needs to learn English better as his communication is poor, maybe that's the main reason. Has Klopp made him work on this?

{Ed001's Note - he speaks excellent English.}

Do you see him staying with us beyond the summer. Don't get me wrong mate I can't see him staying with us. He has as many as a youngster to improve and learn.

{Ed002's Note - The club are not looking to let him go right now.}

That comes as a surprise, there was a number of times there was some sort of miscommunication between him or another player last night.

I can't see Can going anywhere Harry, he needs to improve a bit yeah but he's got the potential there.

He'll be here next season as he's still young and learning, Harry.

If I had a fantastic head of hair like can I think my heading would be a bit naff aswel. Gota look pretty for the full 90mins.

classic madmax, I think it boils down to concentration levels, at times he seems the real deal until he switches off and looks lost. I could be wrong be i remember 1 of the eds saying he is player who tends take to many risks by dribbling a lot before we signed him that also seems very evident till now. can't recall where I read or heard this but it is said of all the players Kloops screams at him the most for what ever reason. Could be that he tries to hard maybe at times to please Kloop, maybe Ed you may assist me here. Is he very close with Kloop or is just the normal player manager relationship?

{Ed001's Note - Klopp is very close to almost all of the players mate, that is how he manages. He creates a close camp, a team, and the coaching staff and himself are part of the team, rather than aloof from it, in the way Mark Hughes is, or at least was at previous clubs, not sure if he has changed now he is at Stoke.}

Thanks on the fast reply Ed, makes sense why most of his (Klopp) players are willing to run through walls for him with baloteli the odd the exception. Many of us would give so much to work with such a manager. Still say we very blessed to still have Klopp. Any way guys I am of to show my support for the world Aids day. Stay blessed all.

{Ed001's Note - take care mate.}

Not that I knew until I read your post ed1 but that was the impression I got on Klopp, he has all the lads close, good team spirit, confidence, and more then anything everybody seems to be happy under Klopp. There's something about him, absolute top manager which is obviously been proven at the moment. I'd also imagine it's not a good idea to get on the wrong side of him, Sakho comes to mind. Sakho - before Matip came in he was arguably our best defender, did Klopp care? nah, mess around and your out yet he's still managed to get these kinda results.

Something I really liked the other week, I can't quote the exact words but Klopp was asked about a potential sale of Coutinho and something he did say was he wants the players to not want to leave, he wants them to be happy at the club no matter who may come in. I mean we don't know the future but imagine if Barcelona actually came in for Coutinho and he turned them down because he's happy under Klopp? - I'm not saying this will happen but who knows.

Overall I can't be happier with what Klopp is doing and has done in such a short time, the future is bright!

I have high hopes for Can but still worry about his best position. In a deeper role he occasionally switches off and he's not as mobile as Hendo in closing down dangerous situations. Further forward he's not as alert as a Llalana or Wijnaldum which sometimes means we look a bit flat.

Having said that he's a Rolls Royce when he strides forward, I've seen him boss games from base of midfield and has also managed to play some fantastic passes since joining so clearly he has what it takes if he can pull it all together consistently.

I personally always felt his best setup was a 4-2-3-1 alongside someone more mobile like a Henderson as that makes the most of his physical presence in Defence to boss the midfield while also providing cover and license to stride forward when the opportunity presents. I'm not as sure he works as effectively in a 4-3-3 and Klopps high energy system, but hopefully he gets there. think in time he's going to be very useful indeed if he can get it together on a consistent basis.

He is not needed in the team and I don't know why some doesn't get it. His place has been occupied by both Hendo and Wijnaldum. Just because you are young you cannot play in a team, can you?
It wouldn't take much time for Ejaria to strip everyone from that midfield!
Can has more things to improve than Ejaria!

Excellent summary of his weaknesses ed, in complete agreement. Do you think awareness and concentration are things that can be easily trained? Or are they things a player either has or doesn't have?

{Ed001's Note - anything can be trained, but it is down to the player to see the problem himself and want to fix it. From what has been said about the player to me, Can is a very hard worker in training, with a real desire to improve, so I have high hopes he can improve on those problem areas.}

If he has that work ethic then that's great - always got time for the players who really put in the time in training - like you Ed I hope he can improve and become a stalwart in our team.
