Is it just me or does Can not turn out anywhere near enough when he recieves the ball, he just goes back to where it came from, same Wijnladum on occasions aswell.

Wijnaldum has been very frustrating this game, far too sloppy on the ball. let's hope we improve and get the result!

Can Wijnladum and Ejaria are making the wrong decision more often that not, not giving it quickly enough.

Away fans outing the Kop to shame!

we started well. i was actually impressed with can, he kept knicking the ball wanting to get forward. we played poor for a large portion of the match as a team. the stewart substitution helped turn things around. ejaria started well but didn't do much in the match.

Wijnaldum gets in good positions but like lallana can be poor when it comes to the decisive moment. origi was trying too hard but showed his class in the end. mane had an alright game along with everyone else. I really don't see what stewart brings to the team though, seems to always have a costing mistake in him too.

The problem is as always it for leeds it was their biggest game of the season and they're a very well supported side. For us all the regulars save their money and the tourists come in and are glad to just be there plus we play our reserves mainly and it's one of our easiest/ least exciting games of the season. Their fans are in party mode because they have the honour of anfield for a night and ours are sat expecting an anhialation.

You've got to understand Harry it's their biggest night for a long long time mate, they are bound to get excited.

Agree Rozz, even when Can was played right back by Rodgers he never opened himself up to play ball down flank, always standing facing inside.

Leeds have a great set of fans and their team played really well tonight. They caused us lots of problems.
But the better quality in finishing proved the difference in the end.

How hard it must have been for Lucas to play tonight after today's tradegy .
Top man.

Can was poor as well Wijnaldum. I don't think they are CM's anymore. Both looks decent played higher up.

{Ed001's Note - you do realise they play CM every game right?}

Yes Ed01 and just when things doesn't go well Klop ask them to play high.

{Ed001's Note - and Klopp told you this did he? Only I have never seen him do that at all. He asks them to make more runs into the box and look to get on the end of things, but I have never seen him tell either to play up top.}

That is what I was trying to say, Your presence high up in the opposition box. Can overkills the midfield when you have Stewart. And dare I say he isn't even at the level of Ejaria when it comes to passing.
It's like adding Xhaka to a midfield of Coq and Carzola.
Wijnaldum primararly payed on the left hand side and wasn't involved except the flick in the first and second half.

4 midfielders in a starting eleven how ever you deploy them to play doesn't make any sense to me.

{Ed001's Note - I am really not sure what you watch at times. There are zero similarities in the situations. Can plays ahead of Stewart, not alongside him. I don't think you understand what is going on, how the players are interchanging their positions constantly.}

Can is not needed there. He doesn't bring anything to the game which influence the match. Ejaria for all the lost possession was still the one pulling strings together.
You just add an extra midfielder for the sake of it who is no different from one you have already on the pitch.

{Ed001's Note - Can and Ejaria are nothing like the same. They bring completely different qualities to the pitch. For starters, Can provides defensive cover and strength to the side. Ejaria has great ability but no tactical sense yet. He also lacks strength and power which would see us being outmuscled in midfield without Can there to protect him.}

Yes Ejaria lacks the strength and physicality which Can possess but unfortunately that's the only thing Can brings to the team for me. As a player Ejaria is a much more of a need than Can. When you play a proper out and out defensive cover in Stewart I wouldn't play another one in Can. Can lacks vision which Ejaria has, Ejaria is also better on the ball compared to anyone on the pitch yesterday. His misplaced passes were examples of his vision in trying to find the next person in space. He moves the ball quicker than Can.
All he needs is to bulk up to adapt the first teamers.

{Ed001's Note - Can also helps on set pieces, plus his runs carrying the ball can change the game. You are getting overexcited on Ejaria, he is not ready to be a starter, Can is.}

Harry, how did you know Klopp asked Can and Wiji to play higher up the pitch? Were you in the room with them doing the tactical game plan? That would be a big, fat NO so stop acting like you know stuff because you don`t. This is the problem with the stuff you post. You just post your opinions and project them as facts whereas they make very little sense and using other players from other clubs to buttress your point only makes things worse. Stewart isn`t in the same level as Ejaria in passing. Now you think Ejaria (who was poor last night, by the way) is better and more suited than Can. Do you even read what you post? They are all very different players as Stewart is a DM, Can is a CN that offers both defensive and attacking options and Ejaria is an ACM. Good Heavens! Ejaria is still learning and is not at Can`s level yet so your overall comparisons have no basis in fact.
