What would you do to fill the void left by Couts? Switch Firmino to the left and bring in Divock or something else?

Ed could see gini playing left . With can and Lallana in the cm . Gini played that role at Newcastle and it would keep firmino in the st postion.

{Ed001's Note - Wijnaldum was awful in that role at Newcastle, though it was a different style of football, no thanks, leave him where he is playing well. It is one of Studger, Lallana, Origi or Firmino that goes there for me.}

Shifting Firmino is a bad idea one Klopp wouldn't take it. He will play origi on the left.

I think he ll use the pace of Origi and Mane on the flanks but then you could be right. Couts was never playing the wing role there. He was an actual midfielder.

The front three do not have their positions set in stone so it doesn`t matter where you play Origi, Firmino, and Mane as they can interchange as all three are comfortable on the flanks and through the middle. The X factor for me is Lallana. He to me, is the one that can really make things happen while Couts and/ or Mane are out. He is ability to rove around the pitch in midfield or anywhere behind the front three, will be a nightmare for the opposition going forward.

I hope Origi is the one that starts. The boy is industrious, hardly get bullied, presses well, good hold-up play etc.
And I want to see him get a run of games, hopefully surpass his form before the injury last season.

How nice it is to have options. Remember when we came close a few years back, we had a great 11 and no options. This squad has stars but it also has depth.

We did have options. They were El Zahr, Ngog, sand Paceco. This coming from a manager who spent over 400m on 76 players, only to make us essentially a TW or three man team.

I think Lallana would be a bigger loss if he moves from the central midfield role to the wide role. I would Play Firmino there and one of Sturridge/ Origi goes up top.
