Ok so i just read this nonsense from sterlings interview with 442.

“It was just about the players that were here, ” he said.

“I could name 10 or 11 who have played at the highest level - people like Sergio Aguero, David Silva, Yaya Toure.

“For me to develop my game I’ve got to be playing with the best and that’s why I came here. ”

So is he implying he did not develop at all over the years he was with us. I also have not seen any difference between the way he played with us to how he is playing now. Still hit and miss in front of goal and inconsistent in his performances for both club and country.

I know footballers are not famed for being candid but for once i would like one to just be honest and say he left for financial reasons. He left to get a hike in pay and a big payday and it also helped that his huge ego was being stroked by his muppet agent.

I would just love us to take the league this year, i would just love it. That is all sorry for the rant.

He is just saying what he is supposed to say. He's not going to go the press and say: I wanted a massive contract and chance to win a prem title immediately.

I was pretty gutted when he left and the way he went about it, but that is the nature of football nowadays.

The club did not show no ambition when we sold Suarez and had cl . Yes he a greedy and what for money but we have to be real do we show ambition to win things before Klopp come in. The same thing may happen to coutinho will you call him ever name under the sun.

{Ed002's Note - The runt did not want to be at the club - and the club got a year longer than he wanted.}

Ya I hate the rat are I know why he leaved and it was money and agent is a big **** . I'm just saying if coutinho leaved everyone would be saying the same thing.

He didn't want to be with us, he wanted more money and he left. It's done, leave it. Although it's worth remembering that when he left, we did not have a single world class player in our ranks - some potential but none even close to that level.

Nah I disagree Reus, if Coutinho leaves I think the majority would wish him the best, I don't want him to leave and personally don't think he will but should he go, good luck to the lad, atleast he's done stuff, a lot more then Sterling did. Sterling was just an absolute tool more interested in the money then anything else. I'm glad he did go, we don't want players like that at Liverpool. I'd rather have a player who want's to play for us then think ok, this kid came to us because of the money.

Why are we still talking about Sterling exactly?

On sheer sentimental value I agree and dislike Sterling for the manner of his exit. He did go for more money, but you could also understand somebody believing that there is more likelihood of City winning trophies with their squad and manager than the Liverpool team that he left (with Bodgers as manager) .
Not trying to defend him, but if someone works at an above average company (let's say LG smart phone manufacturing) but gets the same role with a pay hike at a company like Apple, they would be stupid to not consider it.

I love Liverpool. always have, but our only champions league run in recent history was an absolute laughable joke. if it wasn't so tragically sad. Honestly, I can't blame him, Rodgers surely looked like taking us in a very poor direction, his transfers didn't look like they were going to make it (look at them now! ), his game play was boring, but he had great 'character ' :)

Still, the way he left was shocking. He and his agent acted like entitled brats. It could have cost us so much, but citeh still stumped up the massive £49 mill.
