Thanks ed that's good to hear. I only asked as I saw a question on facebook saying out of liverpools front three who would be less painfull to lose coutinho, mane or firmino and I genuinely couldn't answer but thought if mane still has issues it would make it easier lol. Still I think firmino is the very last player I would sell he is breath taking at times and world class the rest.

Amazing that the Firminho purchase got some stick in these pages initially! He's perfect for Klopp's style and the conspiracy theorist in me wonders whether Jurgen had been lined up to replace Rodgers much earlier than he did.

My only negative on Firminho - I'm not sure he's a 20 goals a season player but it's working at the minute!

I think firmino is the guy that gives you 8/ 10 every week, works very hard, and has that bit of magic. Mane has the pace that we were lacking and just needs to improve his finishing to be almost unplayable. Coutinho is getting more consistent, and I think that is partly due to being on the same wave length as the other two, he passes more, because the runs are being made. I'd hate to lose any of them.

As for sturridge Ings and origi, origi is the only one I'd hate to lose, sturridge is the best finisher but is he going to be happy being 2nd choice, and I think we'd risk losing origi if sturridge doesn't go.

Anyway, back to the point. Mane is unreal. Such a key cog because he can get in behind when the others drop deep. Front 3 has such a good balance.

Little analogy for J H.

If you paid £1k for a car at an auction when everyone else was willing to pay only upto £400, you paid way over the odds.

If the car then gives you 10 years of faithful service, fantastic. But it will never change the fact that you paid much more that you needed to.

Of course if the car falls apart as you drive it away, you were stupid on all counts.

Car A - faithful service, is the one I would equate to Firmino.

Car B - a wreck within a few minutes. Hmmm, which pony tailed Geordie could I be thinking about here?!

Wow - thanks Zeddicus - really appreciate the breakdown. I was a little lost at first, but now that makes absolute sense. Silly me.

I was just highlighting the fact that Ed02 loves getting in the sly digs when he can. He loves highlighting our overpayments, the "I'm not talking about finance" purchases and then the exact breakdown of the Suarez deal (just so we realise we didn't get what we think we did)

Just posted something related to this, Firmino's a brilliant fit for Klopp and Mane brings the pace and directness we lacked but Coutinho is the magician of the team and what he brings is the hardest to replicate, I would lose either of the others before him.
