Hi eds,

I tried searching but never saw the answer to my question.

What's the situation with Danny ings?

I know we rejected all sorts of offers in the summer, but are we looking to keep him or get rid. As he hasn't featured much this season.

{Ed001's Note - he is just looking to get back to full match sharpness right now, there is no definite decision on him made as things stand.}

He's been scoring regularly for the U23's. Hopefully he can't be too far away from being ready.

I'd love to see him in. It's just not looking likely, the lad in my opinion deserves first team football, it'd be best for him to move on. See, I think for us he could really prove who he is, but what do I know. he deserves better then been in the u23 squad.

5 in 2 games for Ings. He looks ready to get back in the first team now.

agree with fc16 about ings, he lost key momentum with that injury, he is far to good for the u23's but is stuck at the back of the line in regards to the 1st team, where he is come January could be key as regards to his future at lfc.

Pretty sure he is going in either Jan or summer. No playing time.

I think I'd rather him on the bench than Origi right now, he may not have the pace or power of Origi but I get the feeling his all round game would be better.

Ings is just as good as the other two strikers we have; I really do wish we could get him some game time.

Guys, he's playing for u23's because after such a long time out he needs game time to get match sharpness. I'm confident if he keeps banging the goals in he'll get his chance.

leave? c'mon will yas this is what happens when you get competition for places. why would we want to sell him? he's at Liverpool! he may be 3rd choice at the moment but its Liverpool! someone has to be 3rd choice and there is no one better suited. his ambition is to play for Liverpool his dad was a red he's working way up and i'm greatful he's prepared to show faith in waiting for the chance to play. For that I will show faith in him with my support! I'm glad he's a better supporter than some of you.

Ings is a fighter at probably the top club of his career.
He's doing everything right and it shows our strength in depth.
He's really only one Sturridge injury away from the bench and that could happen anytime.

scouse john L8 it's nothing to do with who's the better supporter is it lol. yes I do agree he's been patient. how long will that last? I really like him nothing would make me happier to see him on more, but if he's not getting game time he's going to end up looking at other options, who wouldn't? I don't want to see the lad leave, he's got so much talent, but I can see it happening, end of the day this kid is a professional and he's keeping his mouth shut and been patient, should he not be ggetting game time in the future he's off. and let's be honest it'd be the best thing for him. I agree it's a great choice to have him as a 3rd option, but when he's scoring like he is for the u23's he must be thinking, ok why aren't I getting game time? like any normal human being would be. like it or not, he doesn't get game time he'll be looking for a way out. Who could blame him. I never said I wanted him to leave, but if the current situation carries on, it'd be best for him to do so.

Nah 16 your logic is all wrong. On a more personal note I'd rather be 3rd choice for Liverpool than 1st choice at Burnley.

As would I. But who are we, we'll see if the lad would rather do it, that's what it comes down to. He's not going to be happy been 3rd choice, getting no first team football forever, what footballer would be.

If any attacker can displace firmino, it is Ings. He is terrier like when chasing down opposing defenders.
