What do you really disagree with here? Well @Liverpoolfc16, I share your pain. Can't wait to rock UTD down the table. Haha!

Disagree with assuming we'll beat a decent side just by turning up?

In my experience we always lose games the fans expect us 100% to win so i'll be happy if and when we beat them, nothing worse than a smug united fan.

I love the optimism however I'm not quite as confident that we'll beat United. This is a Mourinho team after all so you know it'll be tight with little space to get in behind. The tactics I'd expect from United are the sort of tactics that we don't do so well against. They also have a player in Ibrahimovic who can seriously exploit our defensive weaknesses, particularly from set-pieces. I know we have an attack that is on fire, and a midfield that continues to improve game-after-game - I just think the United game is going to be tight with only a goal in it or perhaps a draw. I'm predicting 2-1 to us or 1-1.

Spot on Seano.
Just just need to look back at the same fixture last season where they walked away with all three points, when they deserved nothing.

And that was under LVG!

I get what you fellas are saying, but I genuinly believe we'll beat them, a 1-0 would do me. but should it be a draw which also wouldn't surprise me, i would'nt be dissapointed with that either. We can't lose it, I know too many utd fans and been going on and on about it, my life won't be worth living if we lose lol

I think utd have a good set of players but upto now they're not playing as a team (yet), I think with our attacking options, it'll guide us to victory!

United were a much better team under Van Gaal in my opinion. They look average under Mou.

Thing is though Seano, he doesn't have the personnel to sit back like he did at Chelsea, he tried it against Man City and got battered.

MK, you realise Jose has been at the club for just 2 months don't you? all i'm seeing on this page is how poor United are and how your going to batter us. You may well win, time will tell. But the amount of poster dismissing us as average and poor is laughable. How did Klopp do in his first season? We have a new manager, new players and a new style, it won't click overnight. The way some people talk it's like we're in crisis. We have won 7 of 11 under Jose, the city game we lost, had we been given the stone wall pen would have been different. The Europa defeat was dreadful but the team was full of players playing their first minutes of the season, so was expected. We drew with Stoke last week but if you watched it played well and created a lot. On another day would have been 5-0. Being confident in your side if fine, and the way your playing your favourites for sure. But some people expecting and easy game and hammering are kidding themselves imo.

Stand i'm sorry buddy but under Van Gaal it seemed like he finally found something that worked late last season. Martial, Rashford and Lingard looked devastating at times. But Mou has come in and pulled a classic Jose. Kids to the bench, sign a few experienced players for instant results, and throw development out the window.

Van Gaal for all the stick he got (largely due to playing style) did actually get you some degree of European football every season and win a trophy. He was developing your team. Fosu Mensah being another good example. He was just an easy target for banter because he was a bit of a PR muppet!

Mourinho has years of experience in this league and country. Klopp had none. So that comparison is outrageous. Not to mention Mou is a quick fix manager. He is the top grade Allardyce or Pulis. Long term he always folds. Klopp on the other hand has always taken over and developed teams over a few years, always leaving them in a better state than he found them. Look at how Mou left Chelsea, Inter and Real. He just causes problems everywhere. World class tactician but he is a time bomb.

This time though at United, he hasn't even managed to pull off his trademark instant turn around. You are playing far worse football than you did under Van Gaal with your OAP frontline replacing the pace and flair we saw at the back end of last season.

I do not fear playing United anymore. You may well beat us. I mean we lost to Burnley and the nature of the Premier League is that any team can beat one another. But overall I do not see United as a threat to us finishing in the top 4 this season, and certainly not title contenders. If Mou doesn't win the league this year at United he never will. Zlatan, Mata, Rooney etc are all in decline. They should never be playing ahead of your talented young lads. Good managers think about the future, not just the present. Mourinho is a great coach and by all accounts a lovely bloke. But he is not good for a teams long term success. In fact i'd go as far to say he is a slow acting poison. If you beat us next Monday, fair play. But my point will still stand. You are a club in the wilderness who has tried a quick fix; and it is not working.

And just for the record, this essentially is Klopps first season. Last season he inherited a faltering team out of nowhere and without any transfers made us a free scoring team who went to two finals albeit at the cost of a few league places.

Mourinho on the other hand knew for months that he was taking over at United. He knew his squad inside out before the first training session.

You are clutching mate.

Nice to see you have so much free time as to be able to stalk our page stand :p I agree with some of your comments, and don't feel it will be an easy game. You mention José has only had 2 months, in that time I think he has shown no understanding of his mistakes that led to his downfall at Chelsea. He does win stuff that can't be argued, but he is a toxic and narcissistic person in my view.

To be fair Stand United Klopp didn't just spend £150 million on players in his first season. Hardly comparable.

Irish, the price we pay for players is irrelevant to the way we play. Is it Pogba's fault that he cost £89m? Does that mean he doesn't get a chance to settle into new country, new team etc? Our revenue is probably double yours. Doesn't that mean us spending £100m on a player is really the equivalent of you paying £50m? It's pointless. I'd rather spend on players than the glazers new yacht. Klopp had 8 months last season with you and you finished 8th, from 6th the previous season. We finished 5th last year with a poor squad, what were people expecting us to turn into Barcelona over night? We have a good squad of players, with a couple that need removing ala Rooney, to let the team flourish. With the young lads like Pogba, Shaw, Bailly, Rashford, martial mixed with the likes of De Gea, Mikhitarian, Hererra etc we have a bright future. Some people talk like we're going to end up mid table fodder. I beg to differ.

@standutd that's saying if I make 50k and you make a 100k if a ps4 for me is 300$ for you it should be 600. The thing is current liverpool team is in fact playing much better football despite being half the price if you really would like to compare costs. And klopps first season was a success, people just look at the two finals being losses, there still was a run of games to those finals which on paper liverpool shouldve lost, if we go by that we shouldve never been any finals to actually have lost them.
