Morning Ed001

2 questions for you that have nothing to do with the Liverpool game tomorrow (i don't want to jinx it )

Do you know who the FA are going to turn too now to manage England?

And who would you go for if you had the choice? i personally would not mind Hoddle getting another crack at it

Hope all is well on your end

Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - I have no idea who it will be, I know they would love it to be Wenger, so maybe this is finally time to move for him at the end of the season.

Who would I go for is a different one. It has to be Bielsa. The best coach in the world. That should be the thinking. No more fat blokes in the team because they play for a big club, he would pick the best players for his system. He would make England worth watching.}

when you say for his system ed, are you talking about the 3-3-3-1 formation he played with chile? or do you mean he won't do classic England manager tactic of square pegs in round holes? think he would be great choice though chile were always a joy to watch under him.

{Ed001's Note - he sets the formation to suit the players, but he also expects the players to be able to show intelligence on the pitch and switch their places to best effect the game. The main issue is the lack of technique from English players, he would have them working hard to improve that.}

Cheers

Do you reckon Wenger would do a good job of it?

Also is there going to be a match preview for the game tommorow?

Biesla is a lose cannon. England some stability Ed after this whole ordeal with Allardyce.

I would agree he is a fantastic tactician and he would have us playing some entertaining football.

However, he's just not worth the trouble in my mind.

{Ed001's Note - England need to become competitive, Bielsa will bring that. There is no one else around who could stand any hope with this England squad.}

Any chance Swansea might go for Bielsa Ed- or if he'd even be keen? Heard rumours a while ago and would love him in the PL.

{Ed001's Note - he doesn't speak any English, which I would expect to rule him out sadly.}

Ah but does he speak Welsh Ed? Nah shame that. I could also see that being a stick used to beat him with by the wonderful English media.

{Ed001's Note - exactly, plus it makes it difficult to get his instructions over to the players.}

Alan Pardew or Harry Redknapp.

Ed, I agree that Bielsa is a great coach and a disciplinarian. However, he has a lot of history of throwing his toys out of the pram and just leaving his position in the dead of night because things aren`t going his way like he did at OM last season. That is my fear with him as I`ve seen him do it not only at OM but elsewhere. If not fo those things, I would have had him at LFC pre-Klopp in one go. Is he the right one for England? Competent wise, absolutely because he is the one that can make the tough decisions to get some right wretched players (they know who they are) out of this team and whip them into shape.

{Ed002's Note - He speaks very little English.}

What about gus hiddink I know he's still involved with the Chelsea setup but his record speaks for itself.

{Ed001's Note - I am not a big fan, he just gets his teams to work hard. Definitely a very good manager, but nowhere near top 5, especially not now.}

But isn't that what's wrong with the England setup all along and this is from an outsider ( I'm Irish )

Getting players to knuckle down and do what they are supposed to, to the best of their ability. There's massive potential there in the England squad for years but nobody since Glenn Hoddle or even the late great bobby robson has any other England manager ever managed to get the squad playing to the best of their ability. Just my opinion but I also see your point in a way ed001.

Cheers for the reply mate.

{Ed001's Note - apologies, I thought this was the 5 best managers thread. I do see your point, but England needs someone to raise their technique, which is not Hiddink's game at all. He is more of a Fat Scam/Tony Pulis-type. Gets the most out of average players but they don't really improve as players.}

Who would you like to see if you in your own opinion as the best available at the moment who might actually be brave enough to take it on as it's often seen as a poison chalice. In other words if you don't do well within the England setup and your out there's no real comeback to any top flight club again as if your career gets tarnished?

{Ed001's Note - Bielsa, but he would not fail.}
