So klopp doesn't mind a bit of dithering at crucial moments as long as you run around a lot?

Does that include the distance he spun during his Cryuff turns? If not, double it 😉.

Thats good Redmen but you do understand that running around a lot is not the only factor a good footballer needs? What about decision making on the ball? Assists, goals? I like what Lallana brings sometimes but on other occasions i wish he would think a bit more. They used to call Craig Johnston a headless chicken you know? He could run too.

Every so often, just as I'm feeling kloptimistic, I am reminded how far we have fallen. Thanks Reus, for ruining my Bank Holiday. I'm guessing you are under 18?

If distance run is the criteria maybe I can still make it as a pro footballer. Better yet, let's sign mo farah!

I struggle with lallana in the middle of the park. As part of a front 3 he is ok as he can press and do his flicks etc but in the middle of the park he needs more range, more steel, more positional sense etc and I don't think that is his game. So if mane, coutinho and firmino are ahead of him then I don't think he should play. I would far rather see Stewart, Can, Grujic or Lucas in the middle of the park (or dm freeing up Hendo) .

Also not sure I see what Wijnaldum brings just yet.

There is a guy at my 5 a side who runs the least out of anyone on the park, yet when he plays we win every time. He scores 70 percent of our goals and assists most of the others.

Are we an athletics club or a football club? Who cares who runs round the most, what you do with the ball is what matters, and Lallana constantly fails to impress. Klopp may persist with him but our midfield is fragile whilst he and Wijnaldum occupy it - that has been proven in these opening Premier League games - I wonder how many more will it take?

Can't imagine Big Jan Molby covered much ground but he was much more effective than Adam I'm afraid.

If a TEAM runs more than their opponents they stand a better chance of winning the game. The right kind of running that is; highspeed sprints in sync with teammates. Simple as that.

One of the best midfielder in Liverpool history Jan Molby only run within a 2x2m square in centre of field and spread the passes.

There is a big difference between 'for a purpose' and 'headless chicken'.

It's end product that counts, not energy expenditure.

WOW. amazing. We should definitely win that "distance covered title" with players like this. 👏.

Molby was a top player. I remember a great goal he scored against united when he chased the ball from a central position won the ball and from a wide position ran through a few players and smacked it past the keeper from the edge of the box. So this theory of him just moving square and spraying passes doesn't do him justice. Molbys lost goal, look it up. From the stands where I was standing, it was one of the greatest goals I saw. The match wasn't televised so I never seen it again until Molby put it on youtube a few yrs back.

Get Mo Farah, we will win the league then.
