Got a question for those local Liverpudlians. I am from Finland and coming to Liverpool for the Man United game in October. I'd like to know what is the best way to get back to city center from Anfield? Bus, cab, something else.? How is it arranged? When I have been there before I've only managed to get hospitality tickets which included transportation to Anfield and back to center but this time it will be different with no arranged transportation.

Thanks in advance and good luck for tomorrow's game.

Tomi.

Alright Tomi, if you want to get the bus you can get the 17, 26 and 27. There's also a soccer bus run by stagecoach. They will be like the buses from Calcutta so personally I would get a cab, it would cost no more than £10. Dave.

Thanks for the info guys. There is some kind of "taxi posts" close to Anfield then?

Best advice I can give you is don't bother! Utd will win 6-0 after Moreno scores an own goal, gives away a penalty and then gets sent off inside the first 10 minutes. Klopp will be forced to resign as we languish at the bottom of the table and all in all I'd hate to see you waste your money on such a disaster.
However, I'd be prepared to spare you this expensive nightmare and would, reluctantly, take the tickets off your hands. This would of course be completely altruistic on my part, I would not expect to derive any pleasure from this transaction, it is purely a case of me wanting to protect you from this doubtless awful event.

Speak soon, my friend😉.

Best advice I could give is shanksies pony (walk) .
A taxi is preferable to the bus but it can be a nightmare. There will be loads of folks hot footing it down into town to celebrate, so just tag along with them. Will take around 15/ 20 mins. 😎.

Take yourself up to the Derry club for a few pints, wait for the place to clear then get a taxi.

Best advice mate, go up by taxi about 2 hours before kick off. The atmoshpere around anfield will be electric with the mancs coming to town. Regardless if result, you'll have a fantastic night.
Am I right in saying the last time that we played them on a monday night it ended up 3-3? I was about 7 at the time, totally remember the gane but not what day it was olayef.

You will wait a long time for a taxi. don't wait for 26, 27 or 17 bus they are all diverted till at least an hour after the final whistle. I do logistics for the games. Head to Breck Road from the Kop, a 5 minute walk, once at Breck look to your right, get on the 14 bus opposite a pawn shop next to the grass verge. Trust me it will be quicker than a cab. And cost £2.30 one way. If you getting a bus there ask for a dayrider and keep it, all buses all day for £4.
