I don't think it hurts to ask for an update on occasion. The Ed has to post the messages we send anyways, and if there isn't any update, all they have to do is say no (or nothing at all. ) Go easy on em swish.

I think it's the asking about a player who has been dealt with time after time after time that gets to the Eds. Then again I could be totally wrong.

{Ed041's Note - ed02 and 01 take time out to answer questions, even though the abuse comes. There is a search bar for specific players. failing that you could purchase my new invention of a transfer dousing rod, for £100 I will send them to you 2nd class, u ask a question and the rods move left for yes and righ for no. Its not quite as accurate as the 8 ball shaker though

I don't think eds have to post questions, they have a choice and give up their time to post and answer questions.
Ridiculous that people abuse them or the site. As for the update question - of course it's fine, so long as the eds are not having to answer the same update question several times a day/ week.
Maybe put update questions in a different font/ colour so people can scan back? A search for 'update' is not a too much to ask though.

An update is too open, assuming its isolated to transfers alone is too big. But does it mean new owners? New staff? Buying/ Selling of players? The weather? Traffic news?
To be serious transfer window is silly season, so best to ask about position transfers or outgoing players etc.

totally agree bazaa, 'updates in any areas' are posted daily. you can pretty much find an update to anything club related on here. if its topical someone would have discussed it.
