Time to replace Sturridge in my opinion. What's the point in having him? I'm guessing he's on amazing wages, they could be going to someone who actually plays for Liverpool.

The fact that when he is fit, he's one of the best strikers in the league might be the reason why we've kept him. He was out for a week and is now back in training, so stop being such a pessimist.

He scores goals.

That's why.

He would also score more than most strikers in the league even if he played half the season!

I did a quick search of the major strikers of the premier league era. I didn't check them all but I checked all the major strikers, do you know who has a better scoring rate for their club than Studge has for Liverpool? I'll give you a hint, it's none of these; Henry, Shearer, Fowler, Owen, Torres, Suarez, Kane, Vardy, Van Persie (Utd era or Arsenal era), Rooney, Drogba or Berbatov.

Still can't figure it out? There's three, Aguero, Van Nistolroy and Cole (Newcastle era not Utd era) . Studge scores 5 goals for us every 7 games, he's brilliant, and you know what, if he plays 50% of the games or even less that's fine because we have a squad and we have back up who can fill in till he's ready to play again.

We shouldn't be doubting Studge we should be celebrating every minute we get to see him on the pitch because he's the kind of player who will win us the title, he's that good and that's the point in having him.

Sturridges ability has never been in question. It's whether or not we can field him twice a week for an entire season that's cause for concern. That said it's not really all that worrying and we are again putting one of our best players down for working his body too hard. give the guy a break.

With the options that we now have, I`m no longer bothered if Studge is fit or not. However, he should not expect to unseat Origi and/ or Firmino when he gets back and if these two are fit and firing because Klopp won`t be having any of that. he will have to fight for his place in that case, something he may not be used to.

The only problem is that if Daniel missed half a season, Balo and Benteke are sold that only leaves Origi which is fine but options then are low. I'm not sold on Ings, he has movement and technique but as for goal scoring, well let's say I don't think he's a 20 goal striker. Origi remains untested really. I'm not sold on using Firmino as I think he's inconsistent in front of goal and playing him too far forward takes something away from his game. Let's just see how fit Daniel stays this season. I sounded a bit unfair about Origi as he has looked superb at times, especially since he's bulked up. I think it's a make it break season for a lot of our players, Lallana, Can, Sturridge and more.

Origi has a hell of a lot to prove and has to consistently find the form he had the last 8 games or so, a season is 38 games not 7 or 8.

Yes we have a good stock of strikers, but to sell a player who is plagued with injuries is not the best move when they have the quality Sturridge has. Klopp clearly recognises his quality and the team are trying to get him in good shape, a small hip injury which he is already recovering from and back to light training.

Bazza, it will come to a point where that decision may have to b made as Studge is of no use to us if he can't play regularly and is always injured. Just a thought.

Klopp won't have any patience for passengers. Sturridge has to step up his fitness.

Spot on, Ron. If Studge doesn't shape up in time, he will get shipped out, ASAP. Benteke prolly thought the same thing. Where's he now? That's right, on his way out of the club.
