Hi eds, just curious on question match fitness. Ppl are saying national players just came into squad and are not yet match fit e. g Can, Henderson, Lallana etc. But seriously they were out on pitch playing international matches just 2 weeks ago. How can 2 weeks of holidays result in such deterioration of fitness?

{Ed001's Note - because they should be resting on those two weeks off and your body loses peak performance very quickly.}

Correct me if I'm wrong but after doing no excercise for 4 days you start to lose fitness.

Guys,

Get a feeling that Klopp can have any number of training sessions as he likes

To me the team match fit
To make them press harder
To make them play according to his tactics

But at the end of the day if there isn't quality with the players (read ability), they will all look like machines . (3, 4 players running after the same ball / player and loosing positions quickly.

Looks like we will get same place as last time or one better because of less fixture schedules.

Cheers.

Your anaerobic threshold and V02 max drop after about a week.

Add to the fact they've probably been drink and eating crap.

Believe it or not, you start to lose your fitness 24 to 48 hrs after your exercises.

Wrong theory boys and girls.

When you 'lose fitness' it is determined by how fundamentally fit you are.

every body reacts different. some players don't lose fitness some do. some regain it very fast someone slow.

Reasons for why you lose fitness is not an exact science. It depends on the individual and their physical make up.
