Saw on the rumours page something about Henderson going to Spurs.

Now I don't think it's true. But who would you guys like to have as captain if Hendo did leave?

Personally I can't see anyone in the squad who is 1) the sort of character needed to be a captain and 2) going to play regularly enough.

Perhaps a system like United had when Neville was getting towards the end of his career. He was the "Club Captain" but there was a "Team Captain" for the games, Ferdinand or Giggs usually.

Anyway, just thought it would be an interesting discussion away from left backs etc

You know. I never even considered that my screen name could lead people to think I was called Dawn.

Was merely that I am a Red, and would like to see the dawn of a new period of dominance for Liverpool. Granted, references to an early 80s Patrick Swayze war film was probably stretching it.
