Is anyone concerned that we are losing our British core? I want Liverpool to compete at the very top but ideally with a few more Brits. Am I asking for too much?

Clyne not happy and open to moving (according to Ed), Flannagan could be loaned out, Lallana struggle to get into team, Sturridge injury prone. Just leaves Henderson as the likely starter.

I'm thrilled with Klopp's transfers so far but the only Brits have been out.

Is this Brexit 2?

We have millions of them compared to most of our competitors spurs are equal or a few infront but no I'm not worried.

If there not good enough to play for Liverpool then they shouldn't be at the club regardless of nationality. However it is nice to watch England and see some of our clubs representing us.

I think as an English team it is important to have at least some players in the squad that are capable of playing in the first 11. If not English, then at least British/ Irish, easier said than done tho.

I would be more concerned about us losing our 'talented and special' core.

I will be very pleased if we can go through this window keeping hold of Couts and Firms as it will be the first year for a while that we haven't lost one of our great players, with Gerrard and Suarez going in the last 2 years.

The global football game has changed. Drastically. It's a global game, and despite Brexit, players have been roaming around throughout the leagues all over the World, looking for the best possible conditions (financial and otherwise) for themselves. But at the same time, it's important that each club have a strong bond with the local support and fanbase. Having at least one or a couple of talismanic local grown (and highly skilled) players encourages that support. It's crucial to have a distinct identity, and having some local players bonds the team with the hometown and strengthens identity. While winning titles is the paramount objective (and consequently having the best possible players regardless of nationality or origin), I guess you could say that a balanced approach of having a local core to the extent possible too, could be a secondary objective.

I would be worried if English footballers were not pampered muck counting money you only have to look at the top clubs in England who don't have many English players in there line up there is a reason and it's because we just don't have the talent over hear no more lads coming through the ranks just don't get the chance nomore.

Nothing against an English core if England had a good team! When the likes of hendo Milner clyne don't start for a piss poor team, we shouldn't be looking to have a core of these players.

If English young players were anywhere near as good as others they would get their chance to play but what we have at the moment isn't good enough. Klopp knows that and I don't believe he here just to bring youth through he wants to win and we should trust in him.
