With all this talk of Wijnaldum (hope i spell it right) I thought i would open up a new discussion

I was just wondering whether we have any interest in youth players i know a few have come already with a lot leaving with the new idea of quality of quantity.

Does anyone know who the new youth players are that have come in and what views people have on them?

If the youth have any sense they wouldn't come to us.

Again bringing in an older player (Klavan) and stopping the chance of youth stepping up.

Surely Klavan was brought in to offer experience and leadership. Gomez is injured and for me Wisdom and Llori are not good enough. The fee was minimal for this day and age, to me it makes sense and I believe he will surprise fans.

We have matip, lovren, sakho and Gomez as recognised CBs.

Yes Gomez and sakho maybe injured but there not out for the season.

So when all are fit that probably pushes Gomez to 5th choice.

Surely at some point you have to use youth as cover.

Rather than buying wijnaldum we should have given ibe a good run.

The more competition for places the better, who's to say Gomez will be 5th choice, if he plays well enough he will get games. But think Gomez is being lined up as cover for the rb position.

Sorry Lavers but Ibe was awful in the majority of games last season. 15 million was a good bit of business, wish him all the best though.

It's about giving them decent game time and allowing them to settle in the 1st team.

When Flanagan first played I'm sure most thought that he's no chance, but after having a good run most think he's our best RB.
