Serious question here.

Why do we all continue to stand at games?

Are the all 'seater' arrangements not appropriate?

Is it convenient to chill at a mediocre game?

Does the arrangement hinder our intensity in portraying our passion for our team?

Does the seating arrangement instill us with a zonal security in which we feel we can express ourselves as fans without the fear of losing our seat?

Do you miss the randomised selection of the Kop?

Do you feel that psychologically a shoulder-to-shoulder experience outweighs the arse-to-arse randomness on the terraces?

Forgive me, as I am attempting to reach a conclusion in the transition of the modern day fan, the modern day sky sports fan and the modern day all out experience stadium Dan.

In other words, do you prefer the day trip expense and comfort of a Lfc chair, or would you sooner become enthralled with the historical intensity?

More than 1 question there Davey.

1) a natural response to excitement. I do it when I'm watching away games on the box.
2) all seater is appropriate
3) Chill?
4) no, it's a convenient excuse. Anyone at either of the Newcastle 4-3's or the CL semi against Chelsea knows this.
5)?
6) No
7) Not sure what psychology is to do with it.

Finally - in my opinion (and it's only my opinion) there is no justification for compromising safety of fans. I'm sure the club's insurance policy will agree with me.
Seating is the safest option. Of course 30 people per square metre can make more noise than 10 people but there are some things that are best left in the past and dangerous overcrowding is best left in the past.

I'd like to weight in on this being from a small club called hartlepool the standing terraces still occupy about half of the stadium as it does bring atmosphere being so close togther compared to going up the road to watch boro in a all seater stadium (saying that I don't even think they fill 3/ 4 capacity these days) as much as I would like the close atmosphere at top level it just wouldn't be suitable or safe saying that dortmund manage and is in a safe manor but would it be suitable for the young or the elderly? The young could easily get lost and crushed so could a old bloke get pushed about and hurt.
