Lots of people talking about players leaving in the summer. I think Ibe should be on that list. Thoughts?

yes he has had a difficult year but still has the ability to be a quality player just needs to settle more on the ball and decision making that will come with age still a young boy.

On loan yes, sold? No, too early to suggest that.

He has obvious talent and potential, just going through a bad spell. Might help him in the long run mentally to overcome this. After a full pre season with the squad, hopefully he will come back fresh and ready.

No one would buy him and it's pointless to sell him. A loan to a PL club would either make or brake him. Best solution.

So u think Ibe can turn into messi in 1 year or he had 1 bad season so you sell him wow. There don't turn into good players over night they take time.

Ibe is a young player finding his feet. You do realise it can take some players til their mid 20's to come into their own?

He's one of our own, has plenty of talent and offers qualities nobody else in the current squad does. He has plenty of time to improve, fills up our domestic quota and we wouldn't get anything if we sold him anyway.

Where is the logic in your argument? It just seems like a knee jerk reaction to a young player not becoming messi after 1 season of top flight football.

He is trying too hard, putting too much pressure on himself. That is all.

I think there would be plenty of clubs that would buy him Harry if he opted to leave.

sell him and get more class players like milner. not.

He's 20 years of age and was decimated by Rogers. He was on fire when he first came into the team but Rogers coached his swashbuckling, fearless playing style out of him and he hasn't recovered since. And no I'm not using Ibe to have a needless go at Rogers (well maybe I am a little bit) but that imbeciles legacy still has far reaching effects long after his departure. Ibe just needs a loan to get his confidence back and we will have a game changer on our hands again. We are lucky we have Ojo in the wings (pun intended) so the loss of Ibe's form or possible departure will not be that far reaching. Let's hope Ojo fulfills the potential.

Ibe is only 20, let's remember that and not write the lad off.

Thoughts?

You want to sell a 20yr old homegrown player on a relatively low wage after 1 average season?

I think you're bonkers.

Totally agree Ron. It's not football manager here! Some people are clueless.

I really think a season long loan to a lower level premier league team would do him the world of good. He needs a place where he can develop week in week out without being scrutinised for every little mistake.

The one thing Ibe struggles with is confidence and with fans like this it's only going to affect the confidence of such a young player more and more. This lad has an abundance of talent, which nurtured in the right way he could become a very good player for us. Time out of the limelight is a good move from JK so let's do the same and give the
lad a break. Perhaps then he can flourish into the player we all want him to be for Liverpool football club.

Thank god the OP doesn't run the transfers nor player evaluations at LFC otherwise we would be in worse shape than BR left us.

Well said Ron!

Some people on here are nuts!
