Ed001 of you Have time could you do a Jordan Ibe season assessment be very disappointed with him especially in 1 v 1 situations hoping its a learning curve.

{Ed001's Note - he just needs to stop slowing it down and looking to be clever. Use your pace, not your acceleration. He is looking to burst away from players, but it allows others to get over in cover, so even if he does get past, there is others in place. What he needs to do is burst onto the ball, to use his pace in behind. If the opposition drops deep to counter that, then that is good for us, as it gives us more space to operate in and then he can look to play short one twos, to use his acceleration, rather than just facing people up and trying to burst past them. Also, he needs to learn to just take his foot off the accelerator slightly before crossing, as that would allow him to be a lot more accurate. It is impossible to control the cross while sprinting. He looks frustrated with himself, because it is not working, so stop trying to do the same things every time.}

He's only just turned 20 for Christ's sake.
People would moan if we signed Messi on here
Last season it was the same story about sterling next season it will be about ojo.

I just wonder if he was playing centrally he wouldn't have the options he taking now. If he is up top he would be making runs in behind and being direct not playing like a guy who has all the dribbling skills in the world and failing. It might be with such a lack of width in the team Klopp sees him as the only wide option.
If he was in Bentekes position he wouldn't even be a false 9 because hopefully he would be looking for balls to run on too. Our abundance of attacking mid fielders are constantly looking for a playing in behind as well only to see Big Ben loafing about coming short.

Liverpool fans heaped too much pressure on him saying he was better than Sterling ect.
He never was. He's a great impact sub like Adam Lallana.
But to be honest, he reminds me of a Striker and I think he'd excel upfront. He's only young but I'd stick my neck on the line and say Ojo will be better as a wide man than Ibe.

Best thing to do is watch some John Bames videos. The man could put quality crosses In, had great vision, could take on a player or 2, score goals, including free kicks. Most of it he could have done in his sleep when at his peak.

Im sorry but its true. its so frustrating. I've lost count the amount of times I've shouted at the telly for him to use his pace. The difference in his game from bein a kid and now has changed so much. i'm not knocking him at all he clearly has what it takes he's just thinking too much instead of just using what god gave him pace and power!

{Ed001's Note - he is trying too hard, that is all it is. It will come in time, we just need to be patient with him.}

I am not slating anyone he is playing poor at the moment and I was looking for other opinions as to why
Trying to hard is a good reason to play bad as it can be fixed he's young learning and playing in a team that need a striker

If he had a striker banging them in then you play more free.

Spot on, Ed. Even the commentator yesterday said the same thing. He's doing the same thing every time and it isn't working. He said Ibe should learn to know when to shoot, slow down, whip a cross in or do a give and go. On several occasions, his speed got him clear but he always made the wrong decision. He's young and is learning so better coaching and management is required here, IMO.
